Found this very interesting in the AFL article with Big G

โ€œWe know our future success will be built on people and players who are fully committed to where we are heading."

IMO that was a direct statement to Petracca and McVee and itโ€™s very true. We need all players going in the one direction.

Itโ€™s sure gonna hurt to see Tracc in a different jumper.

Wait and see if it happens. As we have a read today any trade will be benefit melbourne, 2 weeks time we will find out whether there is genuine interest or just clubs that want him but dont want to give up what we want.

If he goes, good luck to him, we move on, if he stays we get to support him in the red and blue next season

It might be for the first few weeks until we start watching him shank kicks inside 50 and kick out on the full from 35m on a 45 angle. We will then see what everyone else sees with Trac and be thankful we donโ€™t have to spend (allegedly) upwards of 1.8M for that level of footy.

I also think he is part of the cultural problem so we should be able reset (somewhat) with him out of the club.

Itโ€™s easier to forgive Maynard than Petracca.

This is a pathetic dogs hit post. Hang your head in shame. You're not a Melbourne supporter.

35,000

about 150,000 less than trac's actual handle and 500,000 less than ontrac5

Just had a little squiz over on that "ontrac5" insta page: 543k followers and each post has engagement numbers of on average about 30 comments and maybe 10 shares. If I'm being generous.

That means only 0.0036% of his audience engages with his posts.

I smell BS on the legitimacy of those numbers and think his social media savy misses has cooked the books most of those followers are bought or bots ๐Ÿ˜‚

You know very well what I mean by standout stars.

I'm not talking on the field, I am talking off it.

The word you seek is CELEBRITY

Im not the one to really know as I abhor celebrity but I have a suspicion #5 might consider himself as such.

Was surprised his entourage wasn't more numerous.....

He and Bont are so far in front of the league for score involvements over the past 5 years. Its literally daylight to 3rd.

He had the worst year of kicking in his career and still got 16 votes and top 10 for score involvements per game. Even the slightest regression to the mean (which is a certainty according to me) on his kicking will see him be an elite player again, at least for 2 more years. Sure he isnt the player that you necessarily need to make finals, but he is the player you need to make top 2 and win a GF. I think its a huge loss that will take years to recover from. I hope Im horribly wrong.

He is indeed.

But unfortunately, he plays a bit pretty too i reckon. By that i mean whilst we are in desperate need of a player with his kicking skills i have question mark over his intensity and contest work.

Not every player needs to be contest beast, and perhaps I'm being unfair, but i feel like he picks and chooses a bit and i'm of the view that few players that are not instinctively hard at it ever really address that issue.

Liking this; getting a fair bit of support from the nuffies on SEN (maybe alterior Curnow motives), going into bat for us basically agreeing Adelaide are being unreasonable in expecting Tracc but saying a player like Rochelle is off limits.

"One is rolled gold, the other is a nifty forward". You can't ask for the world and expect to give nothing in return.

Clubs think getting a player to nominate is the loophole to underpaying. It isn't.

It's nice to get a bit of media support for once.

And he wants to take his bat and ball elsewhere. Will he next be presenting his Nonnas original Pie Floater recipe or how to wizz up that wondrous 1000 island seafood sauce in a Bullet... ideal for those yummy northern King Prawns ???

Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of CP-Soap ๐Ÿ˜‰

how often does a quality player like Rachele get included in a trade like this

famously josh kennedy was included as part of the Judd trade (and worked out very well for West coast) but i can;t think of too many others.

we're not playing finals next and our list is aging. I'd rather 2 goods picks for JT to take to the draft.

Soligo is worth tempting to leave but the Crows won't want to trade him.

I just don't see the Crows offering up any best 22 players. Reckon this ends up being done with the Suns or not at all.

Soligo would be ideal but can't see the Crows parting with him. Fairly certain he's contracted long term as well.

It doesnโ€™t matter what the crows want, they need a big bodied mid who can create score assists while moving forward. If they want him Soligo will become surplus to requirements. Their window is open and they are missing a bull.

Weโ€ll ask for Thilthorpe or Rankine, theyโ€™ll say no and thatโ€™s how trade talks start, if they havenโ€™t already

Well Adelaide donโ€™t have good picks. Anything outside of 7 this year is no good at all. Next yearโ€™s pick likely to be pushed to 18-21 too from them. So unless we involve hawthorn or GC, we donโ€™t get the pick capital the club has said it would accept.

Pretty obvious now that he did try and get out the door last year too. Iโ€™m not buying that he was trying to instigate change from within.

Ahhh.... the art of the deal..

๐Ÿค” think someone wrote a book about that .....

For the first few rounds it will be but then it will be fine.

I kind of dropped off him this year. Just felt his heart really wasn't there & disappointed in his skills at times.

He can go.

If they want him it just means posturing and holding your nerve to the last day of trade period. Keeping the Crows and Suns involved is a benefit

i reckon gold coast has to be the go. Adelaide will just stuff us around

It will only be possible if Soligo wants to come to Melbourne.

You want 2 good picks, but good picks in this draft are top 6-8, and Adelaide is not getting that. And banking on them to flop next year, is risky.
