I’d say that line up has just enough pace and pressure with the 3 guys off bench rotating mid and forward especially with Viney adding some forward tackling bite at times. But it’s just the 2 talls and doesn’t let us get Langdon on ball or Sharp on the wing for more than rotations. And the depth is very thin.

If Pickett, Kolt and Spargo are all back within the first month or so of the season we might look silly for adding another small who sits at Casey. 

It’s a tricky decision.

Is this because they don't see the promise or they want additional players through the SSP. I think Roy serves a purpose as we are a bit low on small forwards but we may get more out of Culley/Henderson.

Was keen to see LK after a full AFL-Pre-Season but seemingly that's been derailed.

I can’t speak for anyone else but I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t a part of my thinking  

No disrespect to Luker but it was a near zero chance he’d be playing AFL this year, and now it’s unclear at what point he’ll return to even playing in the VFL  

I’d still like to keep him on the list to let him develop, but I think adding two ready made players in Culley and potentially Henderson could really strengthen our depth in a way a developing tall simply can’t 

Plus we’ve seen the type of impact these guys can have at a contending club (think Markov at the Pies or Mannagh at Geelong), and I think we’ve been sorely lacking in this recruiting space recently

AFL rule 26 covers moving a player from the Primary list to the LTI list. 

It's far from straightforward. I reckon there'd be no issue with McAdam. However, I'd doubt the panel would approve the move of LK. Just my opinion/interpretation.

Sorry DS. I am still keeping Langdon on the wing.  Billings starts at Casey imv.  
 

I am ok with adding Culley as SSP list addition, with McAdam unfortunately likely to be ruled out for 2025 as LTI.   Apparently Cullet was considered unlucky to get the axe by the Eagles.  Track watchers reports say he’s been impressive over the summer so far and pushing hard for a second chance.

The AFL aren’t mugs either.

In order to have a player put on the inactive list, you have to have medical evidence that the player will not be able to play for the whole of the season.

We are owed, after Gus was medically retired by the AFL days after the SSP closed.

Not that that means much.

We are committed to the LK experiment. Solidly built KPF’s that can mark and/or bring the ball to ground are great, especially if they can slot their 2 or 3 opportunities when they come. We just need to give the kid time. I hope he gets well and makes it.

If I recall right, he was one of the top finishers in the 3km time trial, so perhaps he's in the mix for the ANB type role.

Commiserations to Shane McAdam sadly the ‘Sun Is not Shining’. ‘Don’t Rock My Boat’ but the DL boards need to ‘Lively Up Yourself’. To succeed in the AFL (‘Babylon System’) there’s no ‘Running Away’ from it, clubs must ‘Work’ constantly on their lists to be ‘Top Rankin’.

Simon, Tim and Jason aka ‘Midnight Ravers’ given the tight timeline, hopefully won’t strike ‘Three O’Clock Roadblock’. Stir It Up’ and cause ‘Burnin’ and Lootin’ here.

Makes sense given a small forward is more of a pressing need than an inside mid
