He'll play wing.  He might go inside occasionally but that's about it.

I don't read replies or reactions

Good, I can't read.

Rubbish he didn’t flinch once last year. I think he is of a wiry ( tuck but more bulked) variety.

Let them try and tackle or catch him. Swans Gulden and Warner are not musclemen and they break lines and kick goals. It’s the speed and skill of which is the Duke’s no 1 wood. Get him in where the action is and to play a starring role in our redemption.
( Another little gem for you Dazzle hope it’s not too complicated for you to understand ).

It’s not really about muscle it comes down to core strength and strength through the legs to be able to push away from opponents. He’s not ready.

But where is he???

He is to slight still, don’t rush the kid let him develop

Lol he's not made of glass, show a little faith. Part of development is getting more responsibility.

He was doing this in his first game.

He's not a midfielder yet, that's my opinion.

Rubbish!

When we played Richmond last year Dusty was said to have uttered "[censored] me! That bloke (Windsor) looks 12 years old"

I'll take Dusty's word for it and leave him out of the centre for now.

Is that the same as “the proof of the pudding will be in the eating”?

Not much of a tackler is Langdon so I can't see him in the midfield for to long. He does cover great space though.

Dusty was referring to Disco Turner wasn't he?

And both Warner snd Gulden did not play mid in their first couple of years.

Jake Bowey I thought

The article also mentions that Max Viney is helping all players with tackling technique this year... Jiu Jitsu and grappling

Jack has transformed his tackling from multiple suspensions into a wonderful "drag the to the ground locking one arm up as he does it technique".
Kosi has really pulled back on his aggression. The last suspension was ridiculous as Moore slid low with his legs.
I reckon this will be awesome for Kosi and the whole team.

Absolutely stoked and I don't understand why it hasn't been done sooner.

Max was teaching this last year at least as well

It was actually Disco to whom he was referring. He said it to Fritta.

What on earth does flinching have to do with whether he can play as an inside mid or not? Bizarre take.

You don't just throw a skinny outside kid straight into coalface when we've got the experience and bigger bodies to do that.

Why the need to break him so early..

Let him continue to develope on the outside. His speed and rebound off half back will be critical this year and once he's had a few pre seasons in the gym and builds his fitness up then throw him in if need.

He benefits the team already in his own way with his outside speed and run. Leave him there.

The fact that I knew that worries me.

Hmmm, Langdon trialling as mid and Goody says we have found a nugget.

He said similar after seeing Disco play a half forward in the VFL and played well in his 1st 2 AFL games.

Having said that I think Langdon would be used as a 'mix it up' rotation with a few others as a mid.

This thread is predicated on a Herald Sun boo boo. Goody was referring to Langford no Langdon.

Not to put too fine a point on it but Fritta said Dusty was referring to Disco 🤷‍♀️

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
