We would’ve taken a result like last night in 22-23, a chance in a prelim is what most would’ve wanted. Port are there, don’t think they will get close to Sydney, but all you can do is win.

Settle in this afternoon to hopefully watch the storm knock off the sharks & get themselves into a preliminary then tune into tonight's belter

Yeah look I know I've hung it on Port for being flakey but it was a great effort.

It's probably a pass mark for their season but they are a known tease. Finished 2nd but were they 2nd really? Don't think so

Storm certainly don't get the media coverage they deserve in Melbourne. Reverse it and say it was coverage of AFL in Brisbane or Sydney and people would be screaming. Yes I know AFL coverage in Brisbane and Sydney is not perfect but it's better than we cover the Storm.

Looking forward to a Storm premiership (if they weren't stripped of those flags their record would be phenomenal)

Craig Mcrae said "See you in 2 weeks" to the media in his presser before the QF against us last year and none of them said a god damn word.

Goodwin never buys into emotion which annoys me in some ways. He espouses this belief that effort is unconditional and motivation is intrinsic when playing for the red & blue. However, the players aren’t robots, and I think for big games it definitely pays to use whatever extra incentives you can. Considering how poor we were in that first qtr of that final, he really should have had McRae’s comments on the whiteboard. There’s no doubt that Collingwood’s arousal levels were much higher than ours for the first 30 mins of that game.

It was smart of Hinkley to use the Ginnivan’s comments to good effect for the group. Port came out completely fired up and it was the main reason why they won that game.

They will also enter 2025 with some of the disadvantages that teams have in their position. Such as a much tougher fixture, no top ten draft pick, a shorter pre season which might affect how they perform through the season and how they cope with injuries and their game plan is going to come under greater scrutiny.

Let's never forget that Hawthorn has traditionally been a club of total vankers. The media has just fallen over themselves to re-brand them.

Great win by the Storm.

37-10... unlucky not to be closer to 50-10. Complete dominance

A side note... Storm's winger is a mature recruit from an NZ Aussie Rules background who then tried Rugby 7's.

Craig Bellamy doesn't get the credit either. Just a phenomenonal coach & what he can do with his players is sensational. That was a great final this afternoon.  Just dominated.

Cmon Giants. I’d like nothing more than Brisbane continuing to under perform when it matters.

I have no issue with Brisbane & I like Fagan but I really hope the giants win. Not just because of Jesse and Bedford but because I think the giants can beat Geelong next week & I'd love to see them in the gf

Will be an interesting watch. Hawthorn historically find a way rather than look for an excuse. We'll see I guess.

Common Giants.  Hope Hoges rips them a new one.

Bedders to stick it right up Zorko's fat clacker!

I was going to go for Brisbane but switched to GWS after seeing majority of their players singing along with the national anthem (and no Brisbane players).

Tina Arena looks good but her voice is shocking.

I thought a lot of GWS players weren’t singing.
Which is their right.

After Fagans first two seasons his H&A winning record is around 68% which is excellent

Finals record is 46%

And no GF

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.
