Well not all people regard what’s written in DL as a joke.its not funny and there is no point in writing stupid info that can’t be taken as gospel by some.

I font enjoy reading [censored] like that.

No one deserves that to be served up purporting to be humour in our posts.

Mods - when can we get the facepalm emoji back, please.

I have no idea what the previous that you were commenting on means mono. Perhaps it is too early in 2025 for me.

I'm keen to get along to Casey tomorrow but concerned Goody will become increasingly agitated with me peaking through the fence.

We're all hanging for a training report Matt, so just think of Demonland and grit your teeth!!  Besides, how could any guy wearing a wedding shirt like his be agitated?

Agitated only if he looked in a mirror or the photos ,

But then "just married" it's not photos he should be looking at.  So probably has not noticed,  yes please a training report,   thanks in advance

I blame Darcy Moore.

Maybe Trac needs to figure out a way not to leave himself so open to midsection injuries………….a little extra padding couldn’t hurt could it?

Time to get on the Clarry diet Trac!

Contributing this largely wrongful post is not helping MFC at all.

Many reading this dribble will for rightly or wrongfully believe some or all of it and believe it is true. We criticise journalists for inaccurate and misleading statements about our Club yet seem oblivious to this sort of post that is not even funny enough but deals with the truth and fiction all in one.

It is a waste of time and should be not approved for publication.

Take a chill pill 💊 please. Don’t people understand humour anymore?

DEMONLAND IN CHAOS: 58er Sounds Alarm on Satire Slip-Ups

Suburban Melbourne, Australia - In a shocking turn of events, longtime Demonland poster and self-appointed tone police, "58er", has come forward with grave concerns that some readers of the site may be unable to distinguish satire from serious commentary.

Sources close to the matter have revealed that 58er's crusade against misinterpreted satire began after a fellow poster jokingly suggested that the Melbourne Demons' lackluster performance on the field was due to their secret love of knitting.

"I was horrified," 58er said in an exclusive interview. "I mean, who wouldn't know that was a joke? But then I started thinking, what if there are others out there who take everything at face value?"

58er's concerns have been met with skepticism by some, who point out that the Demonland community has a long history of embracing satire and humor.

However, 58er remains resolute in his mission to protect the site's readers from themselves. "I'm not trying to be the fun police," he insists. "I just want to make sure that everyone understands what's real and what's not."

In related news, fellow Demonland poster "cranky franky" has come out in support of 58er's crusade. "I'm sick of people not posting seriously," cranky franky said. "I mean, I'm a very serious person with very serious opinions. And I won't let anyone undermine that with their 'jokes' and their 'humor'."

The Demonland community remains divided on the issue, with some calling for 58er to "lighten up" and others praising his commitment to seriousness.

In the meantime, 58er has announced plans to launch a new website, "Satire-Free Demonzone", where readers can enjoy humor-free discussion and analysis of all things AFL.

More informative, researched and sourced than any HS article you'll read..

Anyone know where and if training is occuring today? GHOSTY??

Joel Smith ran past me on my bike ride this morning, just south of Sunshine station. Hadn't realised before how tall he is. Would have been hard for him to miss the Dees stickers all over my helmet.

Looks like the Dogs are training this morning. They had the roll-a-door up at the gym at the Western Oval and the tunes cranked right up. It's a gorgeous morning to be out and about before the heat sets in.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
