I'm on auto renew , which I think comes up in October, so yeah I'm in.

However, the only positive I'm expecting next year is more day games - which are a lot easier for me to attend.

( At this stage I'm not certain I'll be enjoying the results though )

I'm on a Tridents auto renewal with GFG and have no plans to change that. People I know with similar type memberships pay a lot more than I do and still have to enter a lottery for finals tickets.

I’m weighing it up at the moment. Financially we are cash strapped, being in NSW means the likelihood of actually being able to attend games is not great, and lastly, my health has me in a position where, frankly, I may not last a full season let alone be in a state to get to games.

Best wishes to you mate.

I’m auto renew, but I stopped being a reserved seat member a few years ago, I don’t have the ability to get to as many games anymore. And tbh nor the desire.

The absolute worst thing any of us can do right now, is punish the club financially. It helps nobody.

If you can afford to, please buy a membership and go to games. Not doing so is only punishing guys like Max Gawn who are killing themselves trying to make this club better. It’s not going to make a different to Roffey or Pert or even Goody.

6 of our original 7 are keeping our premium memberships, unfortunately 1 has fallen out of love with AFL/ Umpiring/ Press and to an extent our club over the past two years.

A bit of rethink time now that Tracc has re- committed and issues to be addressed at the club.😁😁

Am paid up for 2025. Club needs us more than ever (and am looking forward to voting at the AGM…)

I agree and will be renewing my memberships, as I always do.

I can only hope that things change around the club and the President and CEO realise that the natives are restless and will not put up with the [censored] we have been.

Last Thursday i paid the MCC/MFC dual Membership for next year.
It’s not cheap and with all the madness circling at the moment, i certainly thought about it for a while, but i pressed the “Pay Now” Button as i always do. $1,114.00

I am just wondering who else on here has done the same, are Members going to stick by us next year or will they keep the wallet closed

Roffey didn’t inspire me at all during the week, i heard the spiel live on air and once again later. Very underwhelming

The next 2-3 weeks are going to be pivotal for the club i believe. I hope the Members stick together (with a caveat!)

I am very much like you, I thought about it for a while but in the end payed for both. I am seriously questioning my logic on the MCC part, I watch more cricket than ever but I no longer go to it live. Might be just me but the price of the MCC membership is getting ridiculous for just football. I am not sure I will renew my other MFC membership yet though but that is more associated with budgeting and the seat is garbage than the direction the club is going.

Yes i am almost ready to stop the MCC Payment, but once its gone, that’s it

So i am still a Member

Putting off paying MCC for a month, rents gone up recently and feeling the squeeze.

I 'll be a football club member no matter what but am considering downgrading from Trident. I don't want to but $1000 is a heck of a lot to spend on memberships each year.

Was an AFL club support members for 25+ years. Been GFG Dees seats the past 3 years and will continue to be. Much prefer the club receive 100% of my money, as opposed to the AFL

Keep the money hardtack. There is more to life than the MFC.

Good move layzie buy a cheaper membership.

I haven't renew yet Dante but I am thinking about it. Some times I think they only thing that brings change is the loss of money. It is the thing that drives the AFL and clubs.

There’s not that much to keep OD 🤣. Haven’t seen you around this place for a while…I trust you’ve been keeping well.

How does that work?

Paying all that money with no GFG?

Yes it is

One guy I used to work with had the equivalent membership at Collingwood with a GFG but he was paying around $400 more than me, from memory. A current long term Carlton member I know with the same membership has to enter a lottery for the GF if they make it, I'm guessing because they are *cough* big clubs with so many members.

Interstate membership for me no problems ❤️💙

Financial and other reasons aside, if you don’t renew because of the issues at the club, you can’t throw stones at Trac for considering the same.

Clubs are built on members.

Don’t bemoan our demise or that we’re not a “big club” if you don’t renew.

It’s pretty poor if there are some passionate enough to post on here, but who won’t renew (or only mcc).

If you’re doing it to make a statement, that statement will come quicker than expected. It wasn’t long ago we almost faded into oblivion.

The club is bigger than the president, ceo, Goodwin or whoever else.

If you have the means, sign the f up.

17 hours ago, Sir Why You Little said:

No of course not. I just hope the Club now understand the damage they have caused.
We are observers…

We’re not observers. We are the club. Without us, the club is nothing. We only observe on game day.

The people at the club are custodians for today.

Voting by withholding dollars is short sighted. It might also be more effective that you’d like it to be. See post above.

I will be purcasing multiple Redlegs and Tridents memberships as I usually do.

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit.
Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

For a brief period of time in the early afternoon of yesterday, the Casey Demons occupied top place on the Smithy’s VFL table. This was only made possible by virtue of the fact that the team was the only one in this crazy competition to have played twice and it’s 1½ wins gave it an unassailable lead on the other 20 teams, some of who had yet to play a game.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

In my all-time nightmare game, the team is so ill-disciplined that it concedes its first two goals with the courtesy of not one, but two, fifty metre penalties while opening its own scoring with four behinds in a row and losing a talented youngster with good decision-making skills and a lethal left foot kick, subbed off in the first quarter with what looks like a bad knee injury.
