Dimma didn't want Mabior Chol. He's gone alright since parting company with Hardwick. Twice.

I thought he was getting ironical cheers from the hawks fans Friday night?

Not sure Dimma is losing much sleep over letting him go?

Always liked Rosas but the fact that Dimma doesn’t want him probably says it all.

Dimma would be pretty hard on blokes who don't have a good work ethic

Chol doesn't look like a big worker. Rosas from reports is pretty slack

No idea why they would be shipping him out so soon.

If available I'd definitely be having a look, he's your classic small forward with blistering speed on the outside and very good defensive pressure. Different to Nibbler of course but could go a way to filling that particular void.

If you all  read the post about 10 back they have an NGA Lombard ready in the next draft in Nov and  3 other half forwards on list inc. Humphries and Ainsworth.

Do our due diligence but he may fit into side as ANB replacement?

I am all for Mally coming to us

He is walk up starter imo and gives Kozzy more time in the Mid

His best has him at a sub 10 touches, 1 goal, 2 tackles per game at best. No thanks.

Played almost every min forward during his career

Take away the disposals and look at his pressure acts, goal assists

Would be an upgrade to what we currently have

Definitely a yes from me. Has X factor and skill and would be a nice 1-2 punch with Kozzy

We definitely need another agile small forward in addition to Kossie. We should have a crack at this guy.

isn't it his lack of these that has kept him out of gc17's side? that's certainly the impression i have had

averages just over 2 tackles per game, less than half a goal assist per game, and only 1.5 i50s per game in the few afl games he's played

vfl stats from @WheeloRatings indicate in the vfl his averages per game bounce to:

  • 18.1 disposals

  • 1 goal per game

  • 3.7 score involvements

  • 3.2 tackles

    • 0.7 tackles i50

wouldn't want to give up much for him - wonder what he's 'worth'

we definitely need a pressure forward, but one who impacts the scoreboard too... but so too does just about every team

Would cost us peanuts as GC want him gone

They told him he could explore another FC last season also

Did he play under King?

Yep, just went back and looked, played in 5/7 games.

i'd trust King to know if he had the potential/temperament. we clearly need more speed and run.. all for it if King is keen.

GC have to offload players for spots for academy picks.

We have had a poor record with picking up unwanted other club players lately.

Change of luck due?

Perhaps with Kosi headed for more mid time Rosas with lightening speed may be worth a try forward?

He may need a change.

Rosas could end up giving us a solid Jeff Garlett like career or just end up as another Harry Sharp, Tom Fullarton type who end up being genuine plodders.

Trades are pretty much just a lottery.

If we recruit him to play alongside Gawn, Pickett, Langford and Lindsay we'd have guns and Rosas.

He is pretty quick, and I always say there’s no substitute for speed

Moses supposes Rosas has toeses

Gene Kelly Donald Oconnor GIF

I really like him, but having watched a lot of Casey games, I would elevate young Ricky Mentha before signing Rosas.

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
