Glad he’s staying.

@SthSea22 you gave us a panic, but don’t be scared sharing mail again in the future.

I think the tone of my message came out wrong, wasnt trying to be smart-alec. I encourage all people to share what they hear - some will be true, some may have been true at the time, some a fugazi. But keep on sharing for discussion.

"Announcement after the BnF lads Reading the comments from Tom Morris and then the direct feedback from Koz's fam confirms that i will never acknowledge what the media put up He is gone fellas."

"Would you trust Morris or Koz himself? I'll come back to this comment next week when it's made official that he wants out Carlton will come into the discussion which will see Pick 11 head to us and Koz to PA."

I won't shoot the messenger but if I had a horse I'd be storing the [censored] ready for your next visit.

No doubt there was something mentioned in the exit interview but the likelihood was that unless an exceptional offer was put forward, it was never going to eventuate. Would be good to know who leaked the discussion.

Put it this way, i had a side bet with the messenger that if he doesn't request a trade then he owes me a grand.

I agree

He did have the convo with Goodwin and it was shut down due to the Houston interest dying down

He better pay up or he's going to be walked to the pre-season draft of doom.

what a load on nonsense

You wrote it as fact he was leaving and bet a grand against it?

Either you are full of it or misrepresented your inside knowledge completely on this site

I wonder when the retractions will come from Morris and McClure, etc for all the 'inside knowledge' that Oliver will be gone, Trac to Blues is on, Kozzi will leave too...

Nothing happened. We stood firm. Not one trade request even.

Lots of players are homesick or disgruntled with their team but decide to stay. They blew all 3 situations up

Excellent!

That'll about cover the round of drinks for everyone on Demonland who had to take extra heart medication for two weeks!

I read an article that was titled something like "Trades that didn't go through" not one mention of Trac, Olivia or Kozzy. Gutter journalism.

Your credibility is lower than Sam McClure's right now.  It's hard to believe anything you say.

Does your $1k-poorer mate know if Houston had to rip up his cover letter or did he just use white-out to change it?

Houston himself said he was a Dee until Trac decided to be a princess

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.
