Announcement after the BnF lads

Reading the comments from Tom Morris and then the direct feedback from Koz's fam confirms that i will never acknowledge what the media put up

He is gone fellas

What feedback from koz's fam?

There isn’t any.!!

Kozzie for pick 11 would be extremely disappointing considering we picked him at pick 12 - so a grand total of a 1 pick profit for a gun small forward/mid that’s 1 to 2 years away from his prime AFL years.

The club has to hold firm on this one, give him a few weeks off to visit family prior to or during his suspension and be super accommodating to him next year.

People seem to accept that a request is automatically agreed to.
NO it’s not.
Each case is treated on merit and how it affects the Club say in next 2 years and even if a deal can be done through a pick no or a player.

Players have signed long term contracts and because things went result or form wise not to our liking or theirs doesn’t mean it is time for a max exodus with a variety of doubtful excuses used.

Time to be strong Dees we are attempted to be walked over by all and sundry. Unite and gain from a crisis!! Only way to go.

Given all the instability around the club, Kozzie is naturally the one who would be the most unsettled.

Very young family and a long way from home (whether that’s WA or Adelaide or Darwin).

Ever since the Trac stuff started, I was concerned about Koz

It’s certainly going to be news to the club when homesick Kozzie who wants to go home to his family in WA ends up at Port Adelaide

But there is already some family support in Melb I understand.

Just reported by Tom Morris that Kozzie isn’t going anywhere and that although Kozzie doesn’t like living in Melbourne he “loves the Club and Simon Goodwin”, now where have I heard this before, also Port won’t be pursuing him even though they have zero draft capital. 😁😁😁💕

Thanks @DeeZone it’s been constant dialogue that our Kozzzy loves the footy club and Goody, but not Melbourne the city. Yes he will probably eventually leave one day but not yet.  We love Kozzzy ❤️💙❤️💙❤️

By the way he planned this family so he would have realised support is valuable also I believe is only Melb that is probably too big for him allegedly. Any Capital city is going to be larger than his natural surroundings but as always things like health opportunity and friendship are balances.

Kozzy will officially ask for a trade to Port Adelaide this week

Source is from someone who wouldn't b [censored] to me. Gave me the heads up due to me being a massive Dee.

Have seen screenshots of the cover letter that had been written up by his Manager

The wellbeing factor is the main reason to leave Melbourne

DEVESTATED

Port is unexpected. You'd think if he was serious about getting it done he would've chosen one of the WA teams who have better picks to work with. Would much rather take WC's future first.

Houston aisde, don't Port need picks for Lukosious too?

Understand that

All i am confirming is that the official request is coming which he has not done before

Which even if true would still need the club to agree to honour the request.

Look - I’m completely open to the idea that Port, Carlton & Houston’s management are looking to find ways to involve other parties to get their deal done, and that Kossie’s management may see an opportunity to agitate to be a part of this to curry favour & get a move happening... but we still have to agree to it. And if we believe Kossie is partially being manipulated to achieve the desires of others, we’d probably knock it back without delay.

At the end of the day, player agents/managers are like surgeons. A surgeon will often recommended surgery because that’s why they exist. And player agents/managers are much the same - they exist to make trades happen. They’ll always lean into making something happen where they can.

If Kozi does want to head to WA. I’d move him on for pick 10 and Freos 2025 1st.

it’s unders for us. But if he does legitimately want to leave, he’s the type of player who could just not put in if he didn’t get his wish.

So far we have heard from the media mob that:

(1) Viney's off to North Melbourne.

(2) Trac is about to start a huge trading melee.

(3) Clarrie is as good as signed by the Cats.

(4) Kozzie has already bought a plane ticket for Perth.

(5) Melbourne are a spent force, consumed by bitter infighting on all fronts.

Score: 0 out of 5.

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.

  • PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

Long ago and far away, the Melbourne Football Club replaced its coach in difficult circumstances after the team suffered a devastating loss. In the aftermath, I penned the following words: “Then came the politics, the intrigue, the axing, the sound of the football world laughing at a club, the circling of the media vultures, the reinvention of history, the anger, the irony, the pathos, the hurt on the face of the president, the dignified departure of the coach, and the determination of the newly appointed caretaker.” Today, we’re back in the same place although one difference here is that the coach who was terminated this time is Simon Goodwin, the man who four years ago

  • REPORT: West Coast

The Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two Cities, opens with, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, …”  This phrase highlights many of the significant challenges that humanity encounters in life, ranging from experiencing remarkable highs to living in times of despair. This is a concept that should resonate with all supporters of the Melbourne Football Club this morning as they reflect on its comprehensive 83-point victory over the struggling West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium. The outcome proved beyond doubt that they are the worst of clubs and that we are the best of the worst.

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.
