All they have to do - and should do - is Kozzy was eyes for the ball, when he elected to bump when both running in same direction. Unfortunately for Moore he elected to drop to the ground at the same time Kozzy leant in.
Dismissed.

If he gets suspended for this we are literally getting bent over.

GET IN THE BIOMECHANIST AND GET THAT [censored] CHUCKED OUT QUICK SMART!

Get all the lawyers and biomechanists and character witnesses, ridiculous that is three matches, not fair just because it's kozzie.

I would love to ask him why he raised his elbow though.

If he didn't do that I think he'd be fine.

But as I've said kozzi missing games for us is so frustrating

He didn’t raise the elbow. He gently raised his forearm as you do when you’re using your hip to body someone for the ball. There is no elbow striking motion. He can’t disconnect his arm from his body.

This decision in the context of the season is like a tap to the nuts after going 12 rounds with Tyson.

Opponent subbed off, presumably as a result of said contact.

Pickett with a long list of priors.

What will happen, Demonlanders?

The poll is anonymous, so call it as you see it.

I predict a couple of weeks.

Moore ‘accidentally’ ruptures Petracca’s spleen breaks four ribs and kills his desire for footy in a careless act. No penalty. Kozzie slides in and accidentally hits Moore’s head with his shoulder. Three weeks. Or the death penalty! Outrageous.

For those arguing that Pickett should not be suspended, here's a hypothetical.

Would you take the same view if all circumstances were identical but Maynard was the player making contact and Kozzy was subbed out with concussion as a result?

In other words, are you seeing this incident through a red and blue lens (like we all do at times)?

I think he was always getting done once Moore was taken off. I just don’t trust that Moore is really concussed. Nor do I think it’s worth 3 weeks.

If the club does nothing I will spew 🤢🤢🤢 our club is bullied by other clubs like Collingwood and now the AFL. [censored] disgrace.

I have a feeling that it wasn’t Christian, but rather Laura Kane who has decided this and then the Tribunal can deal with a challenge.

I think the word concussion, no matter how caused, dictates her thinking, in view of current litigation.

Yes same thoughts. Darcy Moore contributed to the head high. Kozzie would have been surprised as anyone to get him in the head.

What the hell could he do when that moron slid to the contest, for goodness sake APPEAL!  Christian has form, especially for his own team.  This is ludicrous. Doesn’t assist my hate for the AFL, it is completely corrupt.

Useless lawyers, why do we let lawyers dictate the ruling of the sport?

How much time do you get to show a duty of care, no more than a milli second by the sound of it.

AFL is [censored].

MFC is the only thing that matters.

By our club too. Time to make some waves and rock the boat. Enough is enough

I’m outraged by this call.  It is just so wrong!  I thought one week would be tough given Moore’s complicity in the accident, but when the word ‘concussion’ came into the equation, I was half prepared for that outcome.  However three weeks is completely beyond the pale.  It’s outrageous and totally unjust!  We simply must appeal!

Moore completely causes this incident by electing to slide in at the last second, trouble is our advocate is a dud plus Gleeson will deny any expert testimony.

I have to say that Kozzy has been much more careful this year and has stopped a lot of his follow through, that used to get him in trouble.

The AFL double standards here are a joke: always throwing the book at the easy targets, to make sure they’re seen as doing the right thing but remain completely sycophantic to the noisy, bigger clubs.

I don’t know how anyone can compare Houston’s bump to Kozzy’s contact last night. They are very very different.

That wasn’t what I was saying. I was inferring that footy has changed. The bump is dead. The rules are opaque, the umps struggle to interpret them and all the AFL can do is count its money. Kozzie had no hope even though it’s clearly an accident with zero intent. No one knows how the tribunal make half their decisions.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
