He just had a baby. He and his wife are both from SA. It’s probably a genuine request to be closer to family.
Not everything is a [censored] conspiracy against the club for goodness sake!

North wants Viney, and Todd has stepped away from their team for these negotiations. Viney may or may not want out.

Petracca is upset at the direction the club is going in, and wants out or at least big change.

ANB wants to leave with two years on his deal, cites family reasons.

All break within a week of the club exiting the finals race. But there's nothing sinister at all? Just three of our five club leaders wanting out? Think critically and be uncomfortable.

We've had one player ask to go home in about five years before this year.

Sad to see him go, a great clubman.

There is zero evidence that either Viney or Petracca want out.  You're jumping at shadows.

Not sure we’ll get much in return for him sadly. Love Nibbler

Not sure about that...he's highly valued around football circles.

Astonished at this. Only 2 years left and the excuse is family reasons? I take that back if family reasons mean someone is gravely ill, but for a new baby? Give me a break, it’s Adelaide for God’s sake

You have to seriously have your head in the sand if you believe this.. Thats two of, if not our biggest professionals, who have said they'd like to get out, join the dots.

Gutted, heart and soul player.

Adelaide is a limited market for value.

ANB plays a tough role and is under rated IMO.

He will be very hard to replace. Straight swap for Houston if ANB really wants out.

Houston is a good player but does not play the high pressure role that ANB plays.

God you have no idea do you

So our starting midfield next season is Sparrow, Rivers & Laurie.

napoleon dynamite yes GIF

Whilst I love Nibbler and he is a good role player.  He is a 28yo who is at his trade value peak.

This is a good chance to get as good a deal as we would ever get for him.  No being nice because he is a premiership player.  Get what he is worth, will likely be top 2-3 in the Bluey this year too.

Whilst we won't get the level Nibbler is atm, his position can be taught to others, he isn't a freakish talent.  Hard work is what made him what he is.

Far out this is a massive loss!

It’s none of my business, and I could be wrong but perhaps the baby has an illness or maybe mum and dad need familial help otherwise? Having been there and not had help, flying to Adelaide isn’t the same as having someone 30 mins away.

Ah Ffs. What the bloody hell is going on?! Everyday another of our players is reported to want out.
Nibbler is one of our leaders and can cover the ground like very few others can. Invaluable type of player in the modern game.

Nibbler made the request several weeks ago according to the report.

It's your timing (amongst other things) that is off.

Club is imploding before our very eyes.

I laughed at this due the consistency of message in this post, other posts and on all threads.

Gawndy mate. You are imploding!

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
