In any workplace you have unhappy people. It’s never good when your best employees are unhappy tho, and if it’s true it needs to be fixed and fast. Being back at the club would definitely help you would think.

And if you believe Morris 🤮, he did say Trac is not unhappy with the coach, which contradicts the reports that he’s unhappy with the direction of the club.

Is he unhappy we directed our season to a bottom 8 finish? Coz like same Trac.

He might be unhappy with some of the players on the list.

A lot of people are

That is the first time maybe ever that Gary has actually stuck up for the club.

He is completely spot on. Things are not perfect, but we don't need to burn the place down like some suggest.

If you read anything at all, you still find he was not allowed visitors apart from family and fiancee for about 10 days post injury.

Good points which clarify why Club not there. On that point should not be an issue for anyone.
thanks Ollie.

PS. I have been OS in USA/Canada and not completely over all the very recent Trac stuff due to time/limits of info I have looked up on phone on trip.

Well spoken but this is an inflammatory thread and the club has spoken emphatically.  Not sure why you're choosing to keep it open. It's now a non story and you're inviting vitriol.

I still don’t understand why your hell bent on shutting down this thread. It makes absolutely no sense. If it makes you uneasy or uncomfortable do yourself a favour and don’t step into it.

People are allowed to see things from a different perspective and feel comfortable to challenge the norm. It may be a clear cut, non story to you but others clearly are yet to settle on the clubs own narrative.

Not uncomfortable at all mate. It's just absolute media driven garbage. The thread is titled ' Tracc Wants Out'. No evidence whatsoever to support this . None! If people want to question the direction of the club etc fine. Start a new thread. Demonland has closed threads for less and has just posted not to be using hearsay and rumour on this site. If this doesn't fit into those categories I'm not sure what does.

Trac if he really wants to leave will I assume is likely to take a hefty pay cut and shortened contract elsewhere. No sane club will take a punt taking on his current lengthy contract given the still unknown future consequences of his very serious injury.

I’ll play devils advocate. Nobody not in any press event has actually come out and denied the rumour either. Correct me if I’m wrong here , but all I have heard is the reference to contract and that it will be enforced. Pert has said it, Goody has said and Maxy has said it but none of them have said that Trac wants to stay. It is my opinion only that this deliberate omission is in fact an admission of truth.

So basically if we didn't have a snitching rat in our midst again, this whole issue would be just another day at a footy club, and we would all be none the wiser.

Whoever is leaking information out of the club needs to be removed from the club immediately!

Let me at 'em

I agree.
However considering the total mess these matters have  become, entirely due to speculation/baseless rumours, suggestions of leakers etc,  I am curious as to the following :-

Whilst it is clearly unacceptable for a paid employee of the club to leak information to the media is it appropriate for other people who are privy to internal information to then pass it on via Demonland?

I think paid up members are entitled to know the state of play.

Let me reiterate - Nobody can deny that Trac wants out / requested a trade.

There has been plenty of opportunity to do that: Pert, Goody and Max have spoken and have yet to not deny this. The title of thread hence is appropriate and worthy of continued discussion.

Note it is not called Trac will not be at MFC next year, if it was I’d then I’d be more inclined to agree with your opinion.

Doesn't make me uncomfortable at all mate but the Petracca issue is over similar to the gameday thread is at the final siren. You say you're concerned about character assassinations? Close the thread! Petracca is staying. End of! Why let it fester? Some will over dramatise anything and before you know it there's meltdown. Move on.

If it’s ok with you big brother I’ll continue to post on this thread if I feel like it.

No body can deny??!!  Of course they can until Trac says it.
but the thread title is saved by having a question mark. But it does reek of click bait.

Tom Morris not asking any question and driving his story in Goodwin's press conference says a fair bit.

An Idea, i believe Petracca is still all in and keen as for 2025.  Should we make him Co-Capt with Max for him to take over in 2026?  If he wants it.  I think he would really love the role and we know whilst Max is still there he will always be a leader regardless of the C next to his name

All of these Rumours would have started with Player Managers, they speak to each other regularly, at this time of year, it would be daily.
Morris would be doing the same..

Tracc is heavily contracted, so he was never going to leave, that doesn’t mean he can’t tell the Club to sharpen up

Personally i am glad this has become public, the tough decisions at all levels will have to be made

Many of them should have been addressed last offseason

From the vision I saw Trac was sitting in the back of the coaches box.
Can anyone confirm?

I thought he wasn’t in the coach’s box, nor on the bench, but sitting with the other injured players. 🤷‍♀️

If any player wants out, trade him and move on.I'd happily take the Suns pick 5 and 7 for Trac

When Buddy left the Hawks for the Swans as the best player in the AFL,the Hawks moved on and won 2 more flags.

I'm absolutely livid that Trac is so self centered and put himself before our great club and sooked it up.Professional and mature players keep these issues inside the 4 walls.

Life goes on!!!

If the trade i have heard is on the table @picket fence wont he happy. There wont be room for another forward and it's not coming from West Coast.

For the record i want to keep Trac at all costs

I assume this is a trade not involving Trac? 😅😅 why not give a name… not going to change anything?

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo

    WELCOME 2024 by Meggs

It’s been hard to miss the seismic global momentum happening in Women’s sport of late. The Matildas have been playing to record sell-out crowds across Australia and ‘Mary Fowler is God’ is chalked onto footpaths everywhere. WNBA basketball rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has almost single-handedly elevated her Indiana Fever team to unprecedented viewership, attendances and playoffs in the USA.   Our female Aussie Paris 2024 Olympians won 13 out of Australia’s all-time record 18 gol

    EPILOGUE by Whispering Jack

I sit huddled in near darkness, the only light coming through flickering embers in a damp fireplace, the room in total silence after the thunderstorm died. I wonder if they bothered to restart the game.  No point really. It was over before it started. The team’s five star generals in defence and midfield ruled out of the fray, a few others missing in action against superior enemy firepower and too few left to fly the flag for the field marshal defiantly leading his outnumbered army int
