I’d take Brodie Kemp as the steak knives for any Team Petracca deal.Ā

that does sound good

if we can turn Trac into a top 10 pick and another in the mid to late teens i reckon that's as good as we can realistically hope for. no idea how that happens or if even possible.

That’s where I’m at with it too. I think that’s fair market value. If nobody can come up with that he stays. I think it’s very possible too.Ā

Calm before the storm? All is well?

This thread is now moving a little slower. Can actually take a breath!

I seriously think Trac camp is somehow working with the media outlets to bankroll some of this trash. i mean why else would they put this stuff to paper. Even the Kozzy stuff has gone quiet after people realized it was horse****.

Boy, you have painted the Melbourne Football Club as the devil with your ridiculous hyperbole. Undoubtedly, he and his family experienced trauma, but it seems they have recovered quite quickly and realised that there is a buck in it if they throw the club under the bus and put it out there that Trac wants to be traded to "a big club" to enhance his brand.Ā Ā

No hyperbole in saying Trac almost lost his life. One solid tackle after he went back on could have been fatal.

No hyperbole in saying he and his family experienced severe trauma. Anyone who has experience of extreme trauma would know that to say they have "recovered quickly" is nonsense.

Note that I have not made any comment in support of Petracca's current position. Despite a multitude of rumours and innuendos, he has said nothing in public, so apart from journalistic speculation we don't know precisely what issues he has raised.

We do know that Roffey has admitted he made some "good points", whatever they may be.

In my view, both Petracca and the club will sustain serious ongoing damage unless this mess is sorted out soon.

If Roffey can't handle a crisis decisively, she is the wrong person to be leading the board.

Was the thinking about this the other day. If I were an oppo player, prob even a teammate, I would start with Marlon, then move to Home, Offy, Apple, Biggy and probably land on Russell.Ā

You are neither his treating doctor nor a member of his family, therefore your comments are emotional hyperbole

he was traumatised so much by it that he wants to join the side that did it to him. I am not sure i buy that excuse. He may see our finals window closing down and wants to jump ship. to make sure he is essentially sinking the ship to make sure he gets off. as for CEO, i really dont know what everyone expects her to do. every person is different in the way they work and react. there is nothing to say she was not being constantly updated on Petracca and telling everyone to do everything they can. the fact she was not as social as Petracca and others think she should be does not mean she did anything wrong. in fact i am not sure other than letting him go back on that i have heard anything that anyone beside petracca has done anything wrong.

If it's Trac's secret mission to destroy the club and everything we've done over the past 10 years, he is doing an excellent job

There is zero chance anyone will want to be traded to us this off-season. So good luck to the club improving our list.

Either stay or [censored] off

I agree brother, he has already cost us Houston from all reports and will he ever be the same player,Ā  where would.d we be if Moore hadn't taken out. Get the picks and move on I say.

Can we please subpoena the phone records of all interested parties since the assault on Trac's life and determine who called who when? Second, ask for the phone tap records from ASIO.

Kingy has lost the plot, honestly.

No hyperbole you reckon. How the frickin hell do you know whether he could have died on the field? Do you have medical knowledge? Of course not.

Here are some facts.

Spleen trauma is graded from 1 to 5 in increasing order of severity.

Petracca had a grade 5 spleen injury.

Grade 1 is less than 10% of surface area involved in hematoma or capsule laceration less than 1 cm.

Grade 2 is hematoma 10 to 50% of surface or capsule laceration 1 to 3 cm in depth.

Grade 3 is hematoma of more than 50% of the subcapsular surface area or if the hematoma is known to be expanding over time, if the hematoma has ruptured, intraparenchymal hematoma either more than 5 cm or known to be expanding, or capsule laceration more than 3 cm in depth and/or involving a trabecular blood vessel.

Grade 4 is a laceration involving a hilar or segmental blood vessel if there is partialĀ devascularization or if it is more than 25% of the spleen.

Grade 5 is either a shattered spleen or complete devascularization of the entire spleen.

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love.Ā ManyĀ issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
