Tank pls. No point risking Gawn, and a few others.

Hopefully the Saints can beat either Cats or Blues and we can snap up pick 5

What statement might that be, given that the club has known for weeks that Nibbler is leaving?

Cool story

No Oliver will be interested because in theory Sparrow should play as a full time on baller. it'll be great to see how he goes.

Dropping Howes 🤦‍♂️
He’s the bloody future

Future of what? He can't defend and doesn't offer enough in attack. He's had an ok first season at the AFL level but needs a massive preseason rather than be gifted any extra games. Has to come back stronger, more physical and more willing to get the ball.

For everyone talking about the game style right now both good and bad I have an question for you and I'm keen to hear the responses:

- Would you like to see us attempt to play an attacking, free flowing, 'through the middle' style of footy and see us try to develop this even if it means potentially being smacked by 10 goals plus?

OR

- Do you want to see us go up there and put up a fight with the strangle approach we used against Port? It won't be pretty but if executed we may lose by a small margin or even get a win.

Keen to hear your thoughts.

Hate to be all Ted Lasso but i'd just tell them go out there make the supporters proud and have fun aha. I get its not super professional and very juniors-like but what else is there to do at this stage of the year.

I'm anticipating quite a few changes to the list and gameplay next year so these 2 games are a bit meaningless.

Given Goody’s comments he has to play this week or next.

I would like to see Sestan given a run.

After a promising period mid season I reckon his last month has been horrid.

A pity as I think he's one of the more intriguing players on our list

Fair enough but I would still give him a run this week or next week to see how he reacts to the situation and to give him some clear incentive over the off season.

These next games mean something...but the opposite of what they usually do, we want to lose them and want others to win to give us a better draft pick potentially.

Winning them won't achieve anything and supporters know that at this stage for 2024.  Winning would be a waste, not to mention a meaningless risk for players like Gawn.

What do we want out of 2024 at this late stage?

Our season is cooked, so how do we get the best result from now for the MFC.

Do we know if Fullerton can play at AFL level or do we just leave him at Casey until we delist him. Drop Gawn, in for medical,

Bring in Jefferson for 2 matches after telling him this is what AFL is like and strive over preseason to get there

Use the remaining 2 games as a positive for 2025, if in doubt play them.

Whats the worst that can happen? Lose 2  dead games, have a look at players and possibly improve our draft position.

It wont matter to the vast majority of our supporters, they wont go anyway, Petty will still be a forward, at night, cold, dark or just couldnt care. Let us see the possible future and enjoy the DEES at the G. For now!

I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see Fullarton come in for the two remaining games and JvR played forward for 100% of both games.

To beat the [censored] Pies!

Saints should beat the blues. They are decimated by injury. West Coast should beat them too. It may also be a double benefit as saints might get first round compensation for Battle.

I do think we are a chance to win either of our games, though won’t be favourites.

Hopefully its Goodwins second last game as Coach

Listened to Dwanes world the other day did anyone else catch Chris from Camberwells take?? He reckons Goody will be gone by seasons end. Now I know everyone has an opinion but for some reason I have a sneaky suspicion that he could be onto something here!

So far no announcement re Jeffo. Am I the only one that senses a lost opportunity on behalf of the club to blood this player based on very good recent form? The club has missed a Golden opportunity here to give the supporters something to look forward to. Very disappointing!

Last roll of the selection  🎲  last round at the ‘G.

  • GAMEDAY: Geelong

It's Game Day, and reinforcements are finally arriving for the Demons—but will it be too little, too late? They're heading down the freeway to face a Cats side returning home to their fortress after two straight losses, desperate to reignite their own season. Can the Demons breathe new life into their campaign, or will it slip even further from their grasp?

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit.
Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

For a brief period of time in the early afternoon of yesterday, the Casey Demons occupied top place on the Smithy’s VFL table. This was only made possible by virtue of the fact that the team was the only one in this crazy competition to have played twice and it’s 1½ wins gave it an unassailable lead on the other 20 teams, some of who had yet to play a game.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

In my all-time nightmare game, the team is so ill-disciplined that it concedes its first two goals with the courtesy of not one, but two, fifty metre penalties while opening its own scoring with four behinds in a row and losing a talented youngster with good decision-making skills and a lethal left foot kick, subbed off in the first quarter with what looks like a bad knee injury.
