The kid is barely in the door. Of course he would get a full off season to see where he sits.  This is just getting used to your team mates ands settling in time.  He is not a unicorn, he is a young tall that cost the club very little. Give him space and see what happens,,,,

Well we’ve flicked a mid season draftee off before after 6 months in Kye Declase so was just asking

Half the Melbourne players have all checked out.

Hunter should just retire in the spot. That was an embarrassing performance from a more senior member.

Why do you think Dogs got rid of him?? Poor due diligence by our club which is unbelievable as common knowledge..first hand knowledge

Laughable comment.

Same selection issues that has them motoring along winning 5 of their last 6 games beating the likes of Sydney, Geelong at Kardinia and Carlton?

and losing to the bombers and getting smashed by us and Port

Does Kentfield get a summer to prove himself next year?

Unless his attitude is the problem he should certainly get the preseason

first time he would have trained properly

Tim Lamb sucks, that is also becoming common knowledge which is good

How did Jed Adam’s go? Seemed to be getting a few mentions early?!

Disappeared under an avalanche of WBd’s goals. Moves well and has neat skills just needs to be more involved.

Good to see Jeffo have another decent game

4 goals in a losing team is good output. I didn’t see the game but he seems to know how to kick goals when having an average day.

He seems like he's a high impact guy like Fritsch, doesn't need many touches to put the scores on the board

Not only does it white ant ( rather than support) the senior competition, it also makes winning a flag in this competition seem kinda devoid of value.

This should be the second best competition in the nation.

It seems like it's being run by clowns.....

Oh hang on

The Quambatook Fifths are comparatively graced by a better-organised fixture. Similarly, Nar Nar Goon Fourths have benefitted from games held Saturdays - without abnormal variations - and their occasional visits to their Tribunal authority are as smooth as afternoon tea and scones in a sun-filled meadow with a large herd of grazing cattle strolling by to gain insight into some well-planned, civilized banter.

Who cares.. they were early losses of the season.

They're timing the run beautifully at the right time of the year. One of the most inform teams in the competition alongside Brisbane and Hawthorn.

Every chance they could finish too 4.

I'd play him yes.

29 goals from 16 games this year. Eventually you need to reward form at some stage.

We will give him his 200th even if he is sub.

Declase showed more than Kentfield.

I'd have preferred Hunter was gifted his 200th tonight. Then the Bulldogs could chair him off rather than our blokes.

I'd rather he never pull on the red and blue again.

We don't owe him anything.

True. He played today like he'd already retired

Kentfield is still only 18 and has come over from the west mid season. While he hasnt pulled up any trees here yet, he surely deserves a pre seson etc to see how he goes next year.  The delivery has been generally deplorable at Casey this year which hasnt helped. Id like to see how he goes with a pre season under his belt and him growing a bit more into his body.

Sorry, but what is it with the apostrophe?

Terrible game by so many. Slow and sloppy doesn't describe the relative failures on every line.

Not sure that playing at Casey when they are in this form does anything for player development.

One standout was the number of broken tackles allowing run on play by the Dogs.

Time to draw a line under this annus horriblis.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
