Billing’s can’t kick over a jam tin

Yep... that's the Billings way! I can't believe he still gets games!

One of the more mechanically good kicks in our team can't make the distance.

I've never known what to make of Jake Billings.

oh god...billings! going for goal...

How on earth did we select a mature age AFL forward who can not kick a goal from 35m out?

Amazing what happens when you lock in on the shoulder at clearances and jump into Darcy.

Where was this in the 1st half?

[censored].

Billings worth every cent. 🤬🤬🤬

What's with us not turning up when playing Fremantle? Twice in the season already.

Of course not having a ruck has killed us all around the ground, but the effort has been subpar compared to the last 3 weeks.

I just want to see us fight in the 4th, not just roll over. Percentage will be huge to have any chance.

Billings was the most skilled kick in his draft. what happened?

is this a freaky friday type of scenario?

Cannot understand how we are so close

do not deserve to be anywhere near

except they are trying

Surely Darcy is gonna run out of juice if they don’t feed him a few burgers at 3/4 time?

Im not sure what Goodwin or the recruiting team were thinking when they chose Billings.

Nor why they selected him ahead of Fullo for today's game.

The insanity inside the FD continues.

Should be delisted as soon as season ends.

Yep and he’s done both and Salem’s been no different on ball whilst Viney and a little bit of Oliver have got more of it in the middle.

Good move from Goody. Freshen’s Trent up for next week too.

Thought I'd get a head start and hit the toilet while Billings shoots for goal.

Came back, scores unchanged. Has he had his kick yet?

Atleast score a behind

You'd think so, wouldn't you

How can billings not even score?

6 goals will be hard but we can at least make this a contest. It’s also sad to see Longmuire so angry, he expected a total annihalation today.

But seriously night and day compared to Max. Max is so fit, even during the off season.

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
