Is there a full moon I didn't know about?

There has been some crazy threads lately.

Instagrim, Facebreak, ClokTok, Xer; I'm sooooo glad my only social media presence is on here.

Still not great but, yeah, so glad...

Happy to give him next year to see how he fares over pre-season.

Something tells me he'll want to have the biggest pre-season of his life, prove the doubters wrong and get back to being one of the top contested mids in the comp. Along with Salem, if they can both have a 'Trac-like' pre-season next year, it will go a long way to getting us back up the pointy end of the ladder.

That is a really really easily dislikable panel.

Tom Morris calls clubs randomly: Is Clayton Oliver gettable?
Club: Every player is tradeable.
Tom Morris: So basically, you’re saying that Oliver is gettable?

Morris then reports that “the noise is enough, just for me to wonder whether or not something could be orchestrated.”

I have no doubt that this is how, or similar to how, the situation went down.

Agree. The club and Clayton will both want an uninterrupted trouble free press season

Where there’s smoke?

Tom Morris creates the smoke, then says "look, smoke"

I actually don't mind Kane, but those other snivelling, scummy, dogs literally just come up with random ideas and then try to make them news worthy.

Imagine vol-kano ranting if we traded both Oliver and Grundy to contenders. Don't think it will ever happen.

I watched Kozzie’s video back to his home town last week and Clarry seems 100% invested to me. I’d be surprised if he’s not back to his absolute best next year in the red and blue.

can someone insert the photo of him and goodwin after the game on the weekend?

meanwhile, here's a screen cap of him and gawn in the post-game meeting

well, there would be if i could insert an image, but apparently it's too large at over 90kb

it's from the most recent video uploaded by the club, which also has some classique shots of rick lever's face re bowey's music choices

could oliver be traded? sure

can i see us being satisfied in a trade? nope

can i see wanting to go? not while gawn and goodwin are leaders

Where do these jackasses masquerading as “journalists” get off with their gaslighting the Melbourne Football Club?

Clayton Oliver is a little over halfway through his career and yet, has already been winner of the Keith “Bluey” Truscott Trophy for Melbourne’s club champion for an equal number of times (four) including in our only premiership season in the past six decades.

We can run our club and look after our own when they’ve gone through tough times without taking advice from the clowns on that program who quite frankly need to be better at their jobs than they are at trying to be sensational.

Had they been doing that, then they might have noticed how well Simon Goodwin has managed his player given the difficulties he had to face over the second half of last season and the disrupted preseason he endured this year. Clarry’s still important enough for opposing coaches to find the need to put heavy tags on him and sometimes it works. Mostly, it doesn’t because Clarry is that good.

The simpletons on Footy Classified somehow managed to miss how Goody kept him on the bench in the early goings against the Bombers (he had only one touch in the first quarter). Yet by half time Clarry had added 10 possessions to his tally and by the end of the game, he had 25 disposals (75% of game time) which put him at the club’s equal third ball gatherer behind Ed Langdon (100%) and Trent Rivers (67%). Sure, his disposal efficiency was down but it was wet and someone who plays the way he does at a frenetic tempo is never going to hit every target. He gained 392 metres on the night, second only to Rivers.

Not long after the siren, it was pleasing to see who Goody was embracing and slapping on the back. Clarry of course because his was a significant contribution to the team’s win.

I’m looking forward to more and better from Clarry over the rest of 2024 and even more so in the years to come when he’ll be able to put in the hard yards over the summer time, add a 5th & 6th Bluey and maybe a premiership or two and we can sit back and watch Cormes and co eat humble pie over their stupidity.

What a load of Bollocks

Let’s make up some news and call it news….

Morris is a complete piece of slime

They won't eat humble pie WJ, they will just move on like it had never been mentioned!

Kane thinks we should chuck in a first rounder for someone to TAKE clarry off our hands.

Literally the dumbest trade suggestion in history.

Goodwin should make a point of calling out Morris at a future Press Conference.
He has a shocking record as a Journalist, and it seriously makes me Angry 😡 that he has been promoted over the last 12 months

He has the personality of a stale Ham Sandwich, you can tell he is on the outer.

Tom Morris = Dr Death, worst Melbourne supporter ever.

Hard to see Clayton going anywhere while Goody is coaching the club...

They are both world class F wits in there own right, but you would hope no one associated with our club would be feeding him these fanciful trade story scenarios.

Which clubs, Morris? Name the clubs with whom you’ve spoken. Which representatives from which clubs are “making noise” so much so that you think a trade can be orchestrated?

crickets GIF

And just as shocking a record as a human being. He’s a slimy grub and should never have been reinstated let alone promoted.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
