The Demons are back at the MCG once again and will once again be fighting for a spot in the Top 8 as they come face to face with Bombers on Saturday night. Who comes in and who goes out?

Sparrow really should go out, but i'm not sure who comes in.

AWM should hopefully be better for the experience... disposal was a bit iffy at times but hopefully he cleans it up.

Turner might lose his spot if Petty is fit.

Should we consider sending Oliver to tag Merrett?

Petty will play if he’s fit. Sorry to anyone who loves to pile on him.

He’ll take Turners spot I would think

I think Petty will come in for Disco rightly or wrongly

Would like to see AMW stay in

Gawn missing that last quarter showed how desperate we are for a second ruck option.
If it was a close game, having to drag a red hot Roo out of the goal square in order to ruck, leaving Disco as the only tall, would have likely cost us the game.

I don’t think Gawn would have come off if it was close, I actually think it was precautionary, a knock which could be strapped and fought through but the beauty of the lead

AMW can't come out. We've got a real player on our hands with him 🙌

I hope Turner doesn’t get dropped and is made the sub if Petty comes in. He can play at either end and provides good coverage if we have an injury to a tall. I really don’t think playing Woewodin or whomever for 15 mins is doing much so why not use it as insurance?

When we beat north, I felt flat. Losing to Brisbane, strangely I felt a touch of hope. The win against West Coast felt just right. Looking forward to next Saturday night.

I feel somewhat optimistic about our next game despite Essendon having a two day longer break than us between games

Hoping there are many like-minded people as me that intend going to the game and making a lot of noise. After all it is our home game! Hope it feels like a home game for our boys (and supporters). GO DEES!

It's a tough run home full of "8 point games".

Need to win well next week and go to Perth full of confidence for our Freo rematch

If we are going to make it Petty will need to play a big part

If we manage to make the 8 and win a final, that would be a great season given the amount of young talent we’ve unearthed this season.

I hope we don't look to rush Petty back into the side, especially considering today our forward line looked as dangerous as it has all season without him. Both Melksham and Turner deserve to hold their spots in the forward line for another week.

Would like to see an unchanged side and Disco deserves another opportunity.

I imagine Essendon supporters will have their chests pumping; hence we need to make them feel miserable again.

Petty is too injured, distracted or not good enough in my view

Team looks better without him

He needs an attitude adjustment

We must beat essendon.

Firstly because we need to keep winning to make finals

Hate essendon and want them to lose

Want essendon to drop down the ladder. They cannot finish in the top 4 & get a double chance

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
