So, we all know that last week the Collingwood cheer squad were so busy concentrating on spelling Quaynor correctly on his milestone banner, they misspelled Isaac…

To their credit they made amends with tonight’s banner…

You’d think someone would have half a brain to run a spell check every week.

I agree QD, but I’m a little concerned about BBP talking to himself. First sign of madness, they say. 🤭

@Bring-Back-Powell has a brain as big as a planet @WalkingCivilWar - yet despite everything, here they are on 'Land. The universe is indeed endlessly fascinating.

Last night I was having trouble deciding who I hoped would win. I watched 10 minutes and there he was the thug. Decision fixed. Glad the druggies won.

I thought that Sidebottom was past being well and truly cooked, but I reckon he was their best player last night.

It's incredible how often he and Pendlebury find each other with their disposals.

Cfc supporters really are complete scum.

Their constant booing is reprehensible.

I hope they never win another flag.

Bit disappointed he seemed to put the cue in the rack after half time.

Minute for minute that first half was reaching Kynan Brown levels.

This has been a good match from the start. North fans have a lot to look forward to… good times ahead for the shinboners faithful.

Mac Andrew kicked his first AFL goal. Heartwarming moment. 🥹

You'd bloody hope they would. They have been [censored] for an eternity and didn't have to deal with compromised expansion team drafts like we did.

Port v Dogs is starting to carry the smell of our Freo game. Could be hard to gather themselves again this late in the season.

Margin saved a bit by a generally flat third quarter. Naturally, the moment I decide I'll properly watch for a while.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
