GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

Oliver needs to go for the ball & not be watching his opponent. If he gets it then he should try kicking it. No airy fairy handballs please.

OK Petty back Tommy forward. Tom's a good baackman but Petty's a terrible forward.

Take it back!

Bowey should be dropped.

Got no power in the shoulder

IM O. Oliver firstly needs to enjoy his football.  If he does then the opposition best player will be tagging him. If he gets plenty of touches.  That’s just a bonus,  it’s not about this game. It’s about the rest of this year and next !

Fritsch has Donuts thus far, perhaps try him on the wing for a bit.

Getting smashed in the stoppages but been a while since we have kicked five in a first ( or other for that matter) so happy with the effort.

Had a good first quarter.

To be fair has a hard tag by Philips, but Viney, Sparrow, Tholstrup and Rivers stepping up, Oliver might need to play decoy and wear it tonight.

Has this ever happened? Very strange indeed and can't say I like it.

Check out Caiden Cleary for the Swans tonight. Debutant as sub. I reckon Sydney are a reasonable yardstick as a club making good decisions. Correct call by our club.

I am watching on my phone so it’s a bit hard to but I think we have been ok so far. JV attacking the ball much more like normal.

Sparrow has been destroyed in the air and at stoppage multiple times. He needs to be a bull.

Turner, Petty, Kossie and Chandler all kick goals and some folk are asking about Fritsch’s where abouts. 😂

Agree he is one of our better skilled players!

Good to hear the commentators calling out the ridiculous over-estimation of 50 metres.

Anyone else sick of seeing lazy handballs that constantly turn it over.

We our now masters of it

Since we've come down a few pegs as a team, the few shining lights have shined all the brighter. Petracca before his injury for sure, but for me Max Gawn is far and away our best player at the moment.

What's with the norf supporters attitude?

They have forgotten who they are .

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
