Carlton were amazing tonight, I do not want to play them in the finals.

One thing that stands out about Carlton is their synergy in the middle of the ground. They just seem so connected right now. McKay and Curnow also always know exactly where each other are.

We’re the complete opposite. Petty has no idea where JvR is while Viney is more likely to handball to the back of Clayton’s head.

Waiting for the “ Lions will beat us by 15 goals next week on this form” posts.

Frustrating that Brisbane keep introducing genuine goal kicking forwards such as Lohmann and Morris, where as we’re on absolute struggle street with respect to our forward line.

There’s a number of optimistic posters on this forum, and they every right to be optimistic, but I’m a bit concerned that next Friday night is going to be a black night for the club given the opposition and venue we’re facing.

In this wacky season one thing has stayed consistent.

Brereton loves the sound of his own voice.

Port under achieving again. Hinckley the great survivor but at some point the Port board will say enough is enough.

Butters a great player, but a hot head. Just kidney punched Berry for what should be consecutive game reports.

And just like that Port’s season along with Geelong’s is over.

With Port and Geelong sliding, Essendon unconvincing, and Fremantle and the Dogs hot/cold, I’d like to think a good few weeks from us can really spark everyone’s finals hopes again (mine included).

The spots in the 8 are there to be taken.

I put money on the Lions to win the flag a few weeks ago at crazy odds. i reckon they’ll make a prelim at least

Jesus, Port are shocking. Brisbane looking good again.

Unless Port come into some really good form over the rest of the season (unlikely), I don’t think the Hink will be coaching the Power next season.

I quite like watching other teams getting flogged, it’s almost therapeutic. Particularly when the team has a [censored] as a coach.

Derm and Kelli Underwood… what on earth did we do to deserve this?!

We must have done a lot.

I was about to start a post about why the media only focuses on Melbourne: surely the problems at Catland deserve more attention.

When we were 6 wins 2 losses the media narrative was how Melbourne's culture issue was not as bas as thought .

We can't win hence I watch and read very very selectively. My mental health is way better for it.

Go dees

Watch us get smashed next week, all the contenders have power fwds vs defenders trying to be fwds!

Charlie selfish there. Media won't call him out though.

Time for Ken to go. Had his chances and they need a refresh. Hinkley to Bulldogs has been floating around the traps of late.

If we are to win tonight, I sort of feel any sort of buoyancy will be squashed next Friday night. The Lions look bloody good. Thank god Lever will be back.

He’s not the only coach, I can think of another who’s lost 4 finals & straight sets exit at the G

  • NON-MFC: Round 7

Round 7 is here, with the ANZAC commemoration games taking centre stage. Who are you tipping this week, and which results would be most favourable for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
