pies composure in these situations is outstanding as much as it pains me to say it.

crows had the ball in there 50 and were not smart. thats the difference

Nah the other teams are [censored] honestly, every time they have the chance to score again and waste every I50. Nothing to praise here, just lucky the opposition is [censored] in execution.

What the hell was that last free kick for? Rankine didn't run to far. My god what a stupid call.

Crows cannot beat Collingwood in the close ones

Adelaide blew that

after all their hard work in the last quarter just no composure or game management once they went ahead.

I seriously can’t understand how a side like the Crows just dominating that last quarter but still found a way to lose or Collingwood found a way to win.

These [censored] commentators:

”Collingwood football club, take a bow”

You don’t take a [censored] bow when you’re the reigning premiers and have just narrowly beaten a team who’s 12th on the [censored] ladder.

Why do the umpires call such line ball calls in such crucial moments. Really feels like they are trying the manipulate results in key moments.

One positive is the blue floppers are out of the 8. Sucked in

Full of shiit this team. All the bounces land in their arms at crucial times. Adelaide blew that

Exactly, the rub of the bounce they get. They also kick and hand ball in panic, but the opposition just wanted their opportunities. There was one kick smothered inside their 50, if the crows player was smart you fake the kick to make the defender miss and give yourself time and space.

I sat watching the last 2 minutes with my hatred of the filth reaching sky like proportions. They are the luckiest bastards on th face of the earth. Crows did blow it though.

The kick from O'brien 35 meters out 🤦‍♂️

I am surprised at this point they don't have a special post game show with Daicos dad Jumpin like a lunatic in their corporate box 🤢

Or the other kick that was smothered, no composure whatsoever just kick without thinking.

Ugh, horrible outcome, pies back in the 8, bummers will win & move up to 2nd. Yuck.

Anyway looking forward to watching gws v dogs. Well done to Jesse playing 150 games

So many clubs I just wish would let go of the raft and sink into oblivion.

Did I use up all my credits cursing West Coast and Hawthorn?

Divine favour well spent to be sure, but still, what animal do I need to sacrifice to make Collingwood falter and finish outside the 8 on percentage?

Realistically they could lose their last 4 games (Blues, Swans, Lions and finally to us) and in the process give up their spot to a late-surging Lions who also have a draw.

he also took a mark on the wing about a minute before that and gave the quick handball rather than using up time to take his kick. no smarts at all.

Yep Keays is a reasonably good player on his day but diabolical around the sticks

Looking more and more like a Swans / Filth GF at this rate

That was the game, he just had to fake the kick and would have had time and space to kick to a teammate or even a better kick at goal.

You just know that the desperation of the Filth defender would play against him if you fake the kick.

At the end of the day Collingwood banked enough score earlier in the game to be in a position to win a close one.

The complete opposite to us last week and for most of the season so far.

Pies have a green light from the umps late in games. No HTB even when they tackle their own team mates to keep the ball in. Fraudulent officiating.

That Keayes kick which led to the smother was crazy bad. No composure

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
