No doubt!

Goody

5 - Lever
4 - Pickett
3 - Holmes
2 - Guthrie
1 - Gawn

Scott
5 - Holmes
4 - Guthrie
3 - May
2 - Gawn
1 - Petty

There's a few other way to get the same outcome, which sees Goody give May 1 vote instead of Gawn and a bit of shuffling from Scott. But the bottom line is how Scott didn't find room on his votes for Hawkins, Cameron, Danger and Rohan.

Lever 5 in total for that game give me a spell. Isn't this supposed to be the award most respected by the players?  Should have been minimum 9.

If anyone was in any doubt that Scott is a - insert banned word from the Demonland naughty list - then this dispells any doubt he is a petulant and jealous child with low intellect

Remind me who won the game again? What a laughing stock Scott is

Tell me you’re a sook and a bad loser without telling me you’re a sook and a bad loser 🙄

Jeez Chris Scott is a piece of work - in what world was Holmes the best player on the ground?

I almost forgot how much I hated the Cats before this weekend’s game - won’t be making that mistake again for the rest of the season!

No Votes for Atkins and Dempsey??? Bloody hackers!

The good thing is this means Scott is still massively cut he lost to us.

I hope it burns.  We will repeat the 2018 and 2021 finals thrashing of your club as needed

Butthurt Scott, smug face coach ... loathe him

Couldn’t believe the votes

Chris Scott is an arrogant [censored], a bad sport & a sook

AND HE GOT TOTALLY OUT COACHED!!

It will come out later in the week half the Cats players had gastro

Lever, May & Gawn were better, Guthrie & Holmes were the Cats best, but best two on the ground give me a spell

Scott's likely given his boys top votes despite them having less impact and playing in a losing team.

More concerning for us is the form of Petracca. A month ago he was second in the coaches votes and looked to be vying with Heeney for the Brownlow. He has been below his usual impact the past 3 weeks or so. Hoping he's just slightly down on form and not carrying any injury. We need him firing when the whips are cracking in September.

I’ve always found the Coach’s votes to be impartial and respectful to the spirit of the award.

I’m both very surprised to see such a lack of sportsmanship and very unsurprised to see that it’s come from Scott.

I think Oliver returning to form on Saturday will help Petracca.  He’s been struggling with 100% attention whilst Oliver’s been injured.

But how do you know who Scott voted for?  He could have given Lever five votes for all we know.

A former coach on SEN once said he just flicked a paper to one of his assistants for the votes after games.

CP5 has been heavily tagged especially when Oliver was out / below par, yet he was still very influential in the second half when the game was won.  And who was his opponent and what did they do?

I don’t.

But it’s the kind of passive aggressive posturing that Scott wheels out after every loss.  It is in his character.

It would be surprising for Goodwin to ignore Lever’s massive individual contribution to our win.  That would be highly out of character for Goodwin.

Goodwin loves his backline boys, that's for sure.

Lucky cameron  or hawkins didnt get a vote

Even more surprising that Selwood didn't get one too. 🤔

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
