Either way, we’ll need a vastly improved performance than from tonight’s game to get the 4 points next week.

Then the boys can rest up for a week

have to see how everyone pulls up but if no injuries then go with the same team again.

Pickett's getting suspended though, surely.

according to ralphy just now he's a cert to be suspended. spargo still injured so not sure who'll come in for him

Kozzy is max gawn.

I expect May to improve with another week.

Will the same but true of Oliver? Because if he isn’t trending in the right direction I’d give him a proper rest.

Billings really should be dropped purely for having 4 guys bounce off him in tackles. That’s basic standards stuff. Missed 3 gettable chances too.

Out: Pickett, Billings (sub)

In: AMW, Woewodin

the club should come out and call this game for what it is, a blockbuster. 60K. lets get it done!!

I agree with your assessment of Billings. If he had of kicked at least 1 of his 3 attempts the coaching staff may have brushed off his lack of Melbourne like pressure.

I think he’s a genuine chance to be dropped unfortunately, after a poor game against Port.

If Pickett is out then Laurie most likely comes in. Some may not like it but he's clearly the next cab off the rank of the small/medium forwards.

AMW being developed as a defender now.

Billings may be at risk of losing his spot as well and thought Howes had a shocker until the last quarter.

Will Brown pull up for next week after 2 games in 5 days? Fullarton and Schache would be the options for him if we want to keep the same structure.

Tholstrup hopefully not too far off a game but unlikely to come in over the next few weeks without having a game at VFL level to push his case.

At least he found the ball well and even won it a bit at times, and could’ve been used more too.

And even his pressure in terms of  closing space was better and had a nice chase down tackle. But he has to stick basic tackles, the one with Rankine was embarrassing.

Maybe gets one more chance, but the sub is also an important role and he’d potentially be handy coming on in a tight contest.

Surely Browns body isn’t up for 3 games in a row, no impact tonight

Out. Brown & Billings

In. Fullarton & Woey

Laurie sub

Disagree with Laurie next in line for Koz.    If not now when for Kolt or Pup, or even Sestan?   Billings could go for any of these three also.

McAdams would be a good replacement for Kosi.
Any chance?

Kosi has got to just stop leaving the ground and raising his elbow. It always looks bad and for such a good player he’s missing too much footy for too many stupid decisions.

I know Laurie played that game too but Spargo came from the clouds in round 0 to cover Pickett because there need was for pace. 3 talls, Fritsch, Billings/Woey, ANB, Chandler...it's just not enough zip if you add Laurie to that.

I'd throw out the assumed pecking order and wouldn't worry that AMW has been at half back at Casey. He was moved there because we ran out of back flankers

Another thing they could do is up Billings' (or Woey if they replace him) wing time and give Windsor and/or Langdon a bit of time as a forward.

McAdam still listed as a couple away at least and needs to prove his fitness and form at Casey. And, yes, spot on.

If not now, then maybe some time in the next 2-4 years for kids in year 1 or 2?

Sesto's still a project. Kolt, we might see sooner than later but I think he'd come in for a bigger body and a different role than what we need right now.

Based purely on preseason form Kynan Brown isn't a terrible idea. He's got the zip that we'll desperately need without Pickett.

Yep, Brown in for Pickett and woey a full game with Billings the sub.

I saw the bump live, didn't look like contact to the head.

From everyone's reaction, it seems that way?

Definitely high, low impact, suspect that he went for the head but he will successfully argue that he was aiming for the side but was careless.

Two things Nascent. Please no more Schache he is at his third club and we know see why. He is not a top level talent. The VFL comp is truely poor. It must be terrible that players cannot play a game every week. Terrible feeder competition.

I’d be keen to bring in AMW for Kossie. He has been playing back, but is a dynamic small forward with tackling pressure. From what we have available- he is closest to like for like.

Agree with most that Billing’s should be sub and give Taj a full game.
