With Lever likely to play now, which option do you think we'll go with:

A) The simple like for like with Tomlinson replacing May.

B) Going in small and starting Hore as a "tall defender" with T Mac as the other tall defender and Lever as the interceptor. No Tommo. You're essentially putting a lot of faith in Hore taking a Marshall or Finlayson.

C) Petty plays in defence. Tomo left out.

If Lever is a starter i would say A.

Need Petty forward against Ratu and Aliir

Do we give Lever a week off?

B - Howes, Tomlinson/Petty, Hore

HB - Rivers, McDonald, Salem

I wouldn't, if he's right to go play him.

Hope so - Butters and Rozee are having some seasons so far…

Absolutely, but so are our midfield

Nothing is easy, but we can beat them if we are fully committed to 4 Quarters

No Horne-Francis for them helps us

didn’t look too elite when down against an undermanned poor Tigers outfit. We are better than Port, home or away

Like an Army Sojourn, just go over there, do the job and get out!!

Trying to find info on any evolution in the Port Adelaide gamestyle,

Seems like Wines it taking more stoppages and spending less time forward which is hardly surprising or radical.

Marshall is taking a ton of marks (10 and 9) and creating many more goal assists than previous seasons, but both Marshall and Dixon have barely 50/50 goal accuracy. Maybe playing further out and taking their marks and set shots from further out?

Then again, maybe their forward stats are just skewed by the bizarre game against the Eagles. Finlayson 0.4, Dixon 3.3, Marshall 0.3, Bergman 0.3. Could and probably should have been a 100 point win despite letting West Coast score 70.

Which brings up the next point - West Coast 70 and Richmond scoring 92 despite both games being dominated by Port suggests that Port are pretty leaky defensively, and all that despite no tall forward scoring more than one goal against them.

Hard to get much of a read on them other than that, with just two games to look at and against what is basically the second-last and third-last teams (with only Collingwood below).

Did I mention only Collingwood is below then. Because Collingwood is last - clearly 0-3 is lower than 0-2.

Just recapping, Collingwood; the worst.

I think their leaky defence is a good reason to play Petty forward and smash them

I look forward to seeing Clarry handing out the high four and a halves to his teammates.

nice to see a stable team

May a big loss but Petty will cover him

No Tomlinson.... very surprising

Makes it more likely that Petty will play back

Hore v Woewodin is probably decided by where Salem is played

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.
