In a welcome development, the radar says no rain today and humidity at comfortable levels

The radar is drunk. ️ 🌧 💦

Hawks & Mitchell will wants an early scalp to keep the wolves at bay. They’ll be up for this game and we need to be too.

Hit them hard early, or their belief will grow. Belief and doubt are infectious amongst youth, so snuff out their belief and play hard and tough football to lessen their appetite.

First game for the year for me. I can’t wait. Dragging my Pies supporting husband along. Hopefully he can watch a winning team this weekend for a change 😀

Just looking to bag the 4 points to make the rail replacement bus journey home a little more pleasant.

This is just the kind of game we are notorious for losing.

I'm nervous

Looking at your Exorcist Avatar Hatchman makes me more nervous, one of the great movies of all time, particularly the green 🤮 Relax, mate we got this !!

I would like to see us destroy Hawthorn today. They are a very average football team.

Agree with you.

Let's see if we have changed this season in the way we deal with teams when going in as the favoured, to win team.

Ruthless has always been a catch cry we throw about. Today is the time for ruthlessness to be expressed and some classy footy played.

Last thing I want to see is us being dragged down to a lesser level of play. If the Hawks play well, then our engine room has to purr/fire and we will be in for an entertaining game.

Sparrow to bring 'it', Salem to set 'it' up, Fritsch to kick straight, and our top flight to maintain the tempo/momentum.

Go Dees!

Amazing that they are offering replacement buses during Grand Prix weekend. Standard.

I'm one of the ones who think that Petty is fine to have in but the chap i would like in   to really  mix up our forward line is Melksham.

Non of the emergencies were at the Casey Captain's Run, Laurie, Fullarton or Woewodin.

who are we thinking for the sub? out of the 5 below it’s a tough call

  1. WINDSOR
  2. HORE
  3. Oliver
  4. Petty
  5. T Mac

i was about to say - I’m not a petty man

Well stating the bleedin obvious it wont be Clarry!

If its Hore, Brown, Windsor I'll be spewing 🤮

I guess that leaves???? The Heartbreaker!

I agree with you Picko but hope we are  both wrong

Has anyone noticed that when you watch Foxtel footy in 4K, it’s a slightly better picture than HD, but the sound is out of sync with the picture?

Defence need to pay the Hawks forwards one-on-one respect today imo.  Lewis, Nash, Breust and to extent Ginnivan are no slouches. Watson is an unknown but I haven't forgotten Rankine getting off the chain in his first game against us. Chol will prolly play a defensive role on Lever.

Me too.

Have known so many cocky Hawthorn supporters over my lifetime who just loved sticking the knives in when we were at our lowest.

Every sweet win over Hawthorn makes those times disappear just a little more

I'm going today. Gonna try and sneak into the Hawthorn reserved seat area on lev 2 Northern stand. I want to bait a few suffering wee and poos

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
