Give Petty another week....

So Brown played really well but seems to still only have a half of good footy in him. No idea how he will pull up for next week.

Judging by the public comments, Goodwin seems to think that Petty will find more form playing in the AFL than the twos. But from the people who went to the Casey game it seems like he's not going to be kicking bags for a few weeks.

How did Fullerton look yesterday?

Second tall forward/ruck still seems the week link but I reckon Brown deserves some congrats for his game today.

No change unless there’s an injury/niggle that needs managing before two games on the road in Adelaide

6 day break. Not sure how Brown will pull up

Petty or Fullarton in for Brown if needed

otherwise no change. reward the team. Sparrow was down but he deserves the chance to make up for it

I wouldn't mind see what Tholstrup can do. Perhaps a straight swap with Woey. Other than that no change. Give Petty another week to find his feet in the twos.

I'll second getting Tholstrup in. Good match do bring him in.

Sicily got a week for kicking out when he was targeted early. That is very soft.

Expect it to be overturned at appeal

massive loss for the hawks . sicily can't seem to stay out of trouble for long no matter how many articles they write about him shedding his bad boy behaviour and becoming captain .

can't imagine we'll wield too many, if any, changes but I too wouldn't mind seeing the Kolt unleashed on the G .

out Sparrow.

In Petty,

Don't drop Sparrow. He will come good.

I don't think any changes but Petty in is tempting. Play Brown for 1 more week and then bring petty in for Adelaide games.

We simply should not consider dropping Sparrow. Didn't have the greatest of games this week but you don't through the baby out with the bathwater. Also don't drink bathwater

Obvious from training reports that BBB has a light program.

If we can get him up for next week that would be great

I see the weather is dry and 23/24 which is not too bad

No way is Sparrow getting dropped. I’ll back him in to find some form over the next couple of games.

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.

  • NON-MFC: Round 09

Round 9 kicks off out west with the Dockers hosting a Collingwood side resting several stars. Fremantle need to make a statement on their home deck after some disappointing form on the road, while the Magpies will be keen to maintain their Top 2 position. Friday night sees a must-win clash between two sides desperate to stay in touch with the eight. St Kilda have shown glimpses while Carlton are clinging to relevance after a flat start to the season. Saturday’s twilight game at Marvel pits the Bombers against a struggling Sydney outfit. Essendon can’t afford another close match against a lower-ranked side, while the Swans risk sliding down the ladder even further. Up in Darwin, the fourth-placed Suns will look to extend their stay in the top four. The Bulldogs have hit their stride with three big wins on the trot and will be very keen to consolidate on their momentum. The always fiery Showdown looms as pivotal for both clubs. Adelaide are eyeing a spot in the Top 4 with a win, while Port Adelaide’s season could slip away if they drop another game and fall further behind the pack. Sunday begins with a yawn fest between Richmond and West Coast. The Tigers need to bank the points to stay clear of the bottom two, while the Eagles are still chasing their first win of the year. The Giants face one of the league’s toughest road trips as they travel to GMHBA Stadium to face the Cats. With GWS at risk of a third straight loss, Geelong will be eager to consolidate their position inside the eight and start their climb up the ladder. The round wraps up with the top-of-the-table Lions heading to Ninja Stadium to take on the second-last Roos. The Lions should easily take care of the struggling Roos who might be powerless against the best in the comp. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?
