  1. Dodoro doesn't get enough credit for bringing the whole AFL world the joy of 7000 plus days of no Essendon success in September. Here's to another 500.
  2. Our defence was once again rock solid and at this point we don't expect anything less. Tommy MAC's resurrection in defence has been a revelation. In particular his intercept/contested marking down the line is exactly what we need to allow Petty to swing forward. Always been a big fan of TMAC from his early career as a defender to his swing forward where he was instrumental during our entire premiership season. Not gonna lie I thought this last foot injury would be the end of him and I absolutely wrote him off after last years finals series. He has risen.
  3. Unnecessary lifting of the elbow by Kozzy is going to cost the team. He needs to pull his head in with these kinds of acts. Missed too many games for silly, avoidable incidents.
  4. We are going to miss Kozzy and there is no-one that can replace the energy and excitement that he brings.
  5. Is anyone else worried about coming up against a team with their backs to wall in the biggest round of footy for their state on the Thursday night big stage? No doubt the Crows will be under a lot of pressure in the Adelaide media this week. Beware a team under the pump. How does the panel think we can go about dismantling the Crows?
  6. Our small forwards shone once again. 3 goals to Pickett and 2 goals to Chandler. Have we found the perfect small roving forward mix. Will Charlie Spargo be able to work his way back into the side?
  7. 6 Petracca 5 Fritsch 4 Neal-Bullen 3 Langdon 2 Gawn 1 Kozzy Pickett
  8. The injuries today really did sour a beautiful day at the G. We more than held our own after the injuries to key players but our opposition in the next fortnight are a class above where the Hawks are at.
  9. I'm not confident that we can now navigate a period without May and Lever. I have been impressed with TMac and Hore and was buoyed by Petty's return to bolster our forward line to give Brown and bit of a break in this upcoming block of close together games. However this has certainly thrown a spanner in the works. Let's see how good we can move the deckchairs and get through this Adelaide adventure.
  10. Me too but if Collingwood have to win I will be quite happy that Ross the Boss is sitting 0 and 2.
  11. I have heard the players and coach refer to Viney as just VIN many times. Sounded funny to hear because he has just always been VINES to me. Are these nicknames in the OP confirmed as official nicknames and not just fan assumed nicknames?
  12. Another excellent Podcast boys. The longer the better I say. Where else do you get 2 and a half hours of All Dees content during the week? My dog did not complain having to walk an extra few blocks so I could finish listening to @binman’s stats file.
  13. He lives on the Gold Coast but is a hardcore Dees fan. Not sure what the family situation is but going interstate to play footy is par for the course for rookies. No different from any of the WA or SA boys.
