Don't forget Clarry was told to shape up or ship out a couple of months ago.

That said, Geelong have nothing we would want. I'd be disgusted if he ended up there.

If Carlton were prepared to offer Charlie Curnow in exchange I'd entertain the conversation.

This thread is a waste of time,

I see Clayton as too heavily invested in HIS club. And ours,

the management of him by the FD and his manager is another matter.

a one club player, couple or more premiership s how many Bluey awards.

He will lose too much credibility after he retires if he shifts.  Does he want to be like GH.

Unless we get a replacement who is as good a ball user as Clarry is an extractor, then that theory is kaput.

I'd rather work on improving Clarry's foot skills than trading him. It worked for Chunk, his kicking early on was woeful

Salem, Billings, Rivers and Windsor running through the middle and delivering i50 should help too

Forward strategies are more the issue. Ban the long bomb, always look at a kick to advantage, get injured/suspended players on the park. More to it than that obviously, but would certainly help

Move over Goodwin, Moonshadow is our man!  You would probably do the job for quite a bit less coin too!

Just as well or is it just as bad ?

Jeremy Cameron would look pretty nice in a demons jumper

Fair, have removed that part of my comment.

You are a very unpleasant person however.

Thank you for that Smokey. But you don’t know me so just be content saying that you don’t agree with my remarks at all.

Why couldn’t you be content saying you didn’t agree with my remarks instead of calling my comment stupid and demanding I support a player I already fully support?

Is that how you talk to people in person?

I really don't see Clarry leaving.  He said himself, after the exit meeting, he really wanted to stay, and was acting in a more reactionary way when told to ship up.  He has no intention of leaving.  The club are clearly investing a lot of time and effort into him to get his mental wellbeing right, I don't see either the club or Clarry throwing in the towel on that right now.  Clarry is clearly working really hard, and he's clearly showing a lot of love for the club.

Sometimes this site really needs a yawn emoji.

Well I feel very upset when our champion is not supported from one of our loyal fans. Let’s not take our premiership heroes lightly. We still have a potentially good list and some young talent ready to shine.

Sometimes some comments in D/L are crazy and I feel obligated to respond.
Not always a considered response.

Apologies Smokey if I have offended you.

Clarrie is not old enough for Geelong to recruit !!!

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
