We were going to draft him.

Geelong traded up by a spot.

Restricted out of contract.

Don't know our cap sito, but if we have space, throw the cheque book at him

IF WE HAVE SPACE!

We could sign LeBron James to a super max extension this off season I reckon.

Apparently Holmes cracked it being left out of their grand final side a couple years ago

Its a part of doing business. When you lose one you get unders, when one chooses to come your way you do better. If you work free agency to your advantage (in and out) you'll end up in front.

Didn’t he do is hammy in the prelim? Don’t think he was dropped…

No

when given the picks were both expected to be around 14. Luck made the second year pick higher

He was a pick 3 21 year old with proven high level skills. His $1M salary put him in the top 20-40 salary wise in the league

Not saying we could have done better but we got nowhere near his future worth

Jefferson in 2022 for example shows that pick 14/15 doesn't equal Jackson

Been thinking this a long time after it was highly public Geelong usurped us.. pace is big plus and would suit our mids given he’s more outside overall but can win it inside as well..

We paid nowhere near Grundy's market value to get him to us. The fact we completely @#$%^& it up is a different issue. We also picked up BBB for a song and got Langers for a set of steak knives.
