Named on the extended bench, still wondering if they will play him or not.

Fergo the only definite to play out of the ins

Rivers will be missed again, hopefully fergo will prove me wrong that his time has gone

I don't think ferg will play, and I hope he doesn't.

I would rather give Warnock another week, than watch Ferguson perform the same old tricks.

Great to see Brocky... hopefully he plays.

And Ricky named as soon as he is fit, the boy has certainly made an impression.

Don't think they should risk Wheels, and I'm glad they are giving Beamer a break.

Bench IMO will be: PJ, Jones, McLean, Petterd.

P.S.- What is going on with Jared??

But he is named in the squad? If there were doubts wouldnt they name him on the extended bench?

Who would he actually match up with?

Wheels good matchup for Armstrong?

Doubt he'll play. We may as well keep Warnock in for another week.

I can only assume that Ferg is listed in the 18 because he'll be playing.

From the interchange PJ will play and I'd take Whelan, McLean, and Petterd. Not sure if that unbalances our structure - perhaps Warnock will get the nod ahead of one of those three.

Rivers not playing is a blow, but we're getting closer to a full-strength team.

PS. I'd be playing any of our best players if they're fit - we don't want to our relatively young team get blown out of the water after playing a couple of decent games.

Ferg in the starting 18

This means he will definitely play

To those of you havent figured out this rule by now, may God help you

The original, persisting hamstring soreness has apparently translated more recently as back soreness. Might be wrong but didn't he only play the one NAB against the Tigers, in which case he's only managed 4 games out of 11. Seems the situation is more complex than some are prepared to admit.

Ferguson is a much better match up for Hansen than Holland. He will def (obviously) play.

It all depends on McLean and Whelan fitness but I hop the final bench is: PJ, Jones, Whelan, McLean.

Petterd, Holland and Warnock to miss.

But do u choose to miss Pettard if he is 100%?

The kid has nothing wrong at all other than suprising the hell out of me and playing bloody awesome?

Whelan, brock and pettard wont play. if they were ready they'd be named on the ground.

I'm getting very concerned about rivers ... how about the club come out for once and tell us what the f*** is going on, instead of treating us with the usual 'it is a one week late withdrawl hammy" crap. it is not like it is round 21 and we are fighting for a top 4 spot. we're 0-7 for christ's sake.

Rest Moloney till he is right - if that is round 1 2008 well so be it. do the OP operation if need be ala powell

That is a good point.

But if they definintely not going to play they wouldn't be emergencies. My guess is they are on the bench because they have a fitness test. If they pass, they play!

Don't forget the game is 3.5 days away! That's half a week! Nothing is final.

Where did ya find that our Jaded?

Big Footy Eagles Board has the inclusions as Cox, Fletcher and Morton. Embley was already out will remain so. Army is a popular choice to be dropped but you'd think he'd get a game against his old side.

Yeah exactly. It seems strange that McLean and Whelan are named on the bench - I would have thought they are either in the seniors or not playing at all. McLean and Whelan should never play at Sandy.

I would of thought Holland would be a good match up for Lynch and Carroll to get the third tall. It wil be interesting to see who is finally named in the 22, Brock had a broken bone so if they name him he is right to go because they would of scanned it this week. He won't be fit and hopefully if he does play doesn't flattern him for the following week.

My guess is that they will be given till sunday to prove their fitness.

Fergs to do rivers role... needed on the wide expanse of Subi (maybe Ricky-Bobby coud do that role but probably giving him a chance to prove his fitness also).

If they play we will see no ward, holland and maybe wanock.

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

2024 Player Reviews: #5 Christian Petracca

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
