Need to trade up to pick 1 to land him then! Jako was the king!

I’ll almost be disappointed if we don’t take him at this point!

Interesting to read that

"It comes after Tholstrup fought through a host of injuries throughout the 2023 season including a back issue, mild groin strain and broken rib."

I didn't realise he was injured so much this year - might suggest he has another gear if fully fit.

  • Demonland changed the title to Welcome to Demonland Koltyn Tholstrup

Didn't make the trip to Melbourne for the draft because he wanted to spend it with his family.

Flight risk. 😁

Haha so we went from going cold on him to heating up the oven again it seems??

Welcome to the Dees you absolute bull 👌

All I want to know is, do the glasses fall within the MCC dress code.
Asking for a friend.

What a beast!

High chance this kid will have a sleeve tattoo by end of career. Hopefully with a couple of premiership tatts amongst them….

looks a likely type

I hope the AFL signs off on him wearing these beauties on the field. Cox style. But better.

Seems a good kid. I like his attitude. These picks 6 and 11 we won’t know for a few years whether we pulled the right reign or not, but sounds like we got two good characters.

Welcome to the Melbourne Football Club Koltyn. I enjoy seeing your interview on the AFL live app. Koltyn's family cooked up a roast when Melbourne recruiters came to his home in Esperance.

Impressive hair

Will take him seamlessly from farm to doing laps on Chapel street

Grow a goatee and he'll be a dead ringer for Kenny Powers

Welcome to the Melbourne Football Club

Koltyn Throlstrup

Likened to North Melbourne star Cam Zurhaar – but with more polish and composure – Tholstrup’s Draft Combine results also impressed –where he ranked second in the agility test and top 10 in the 2km time trial.

Throlstrup showed serious talent including playing 10 league games for Subiaco, an experience he thinks “gives me a little advantage” over his fellow draft prospects. He also made a statement on the national stage to remind the footy world why he’s in the first-round mix.

He averaged 19 disposals, six marks and seven score involvements for WA in the national championships, with one particular performance against South Australia a standout.

It included several key moments, with a highlight smother, a good contested mark and a classy late-game goal. He finished with 1.1 from 20 disposals, eight marks and four inside 50s in a strong game

Our WA talent scouts have a great record.

I think we may have another WA gun on our hands.

He will add a bit of flare to the list.

Power and talent.

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

The Demon premiership defender who has the reputation the master of intercept possessions as well as great leadership qualities managed only eight senior games this season as he battled injury and form, prompting speculation that he might be enticed to look elsewhere.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #12 Koltyn Tholstrup

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Clayton Oliver, a four-time best and fairest winner at the club, has navigated a challenging period over the past two years, marked by injuries and personal issues, but has demonstrated promising signs suggesting a return to his optimal form in 2025. He is presently contracted to the club for an additional five years, with a substantial annual salary of approximately $1.7 million in the final seasons of his agreement. All at Melbourne are eagerly anticipating his resurgence to his previous peak performance levels.
