I'd be keen, would add a different dimension to the forward line, some hardness and precision and experience, 2 years ala jordan lewis style, not huge money and a late pick, for the right price there's upside there

I don’t know about that BDA, I think he’s just had an interrupted season. He’s also been behind a far better forward line than ours.

How would you feel about Gunston if we lost Petty? It might be Petty and pick 41 for pick 10 and Gunston.

On the flip side, Jack Gunston to the Hawks might leave Mabior Chol out in the wind…

Brisbane have released a statement saying he wants to go back to the Hawks.  Assuming the Hawks want him back and can do a deal to satisfy Brisbane that is.

5 years ago I would have

We have Fritta. Gunston isn't the key forward we need

Best thing he would bring is smart forward leading patterns which either result in our midfield hitting him or  opening up the forward line.

Turning 32 on Monday so if we get him for nothing on A 1 year deal why not

Brisbane probably couldn't guarantee Gunstan a game next year in his exit interview.

I didn't think they missed him in the finals, and didn't have a great year overall.

Maybe we should ask the question of Nick Riewoldt too? Wayne Carey? Kernahan?

Maybe Garry Lyon or the Ox want another go?

He was going to move back down to Melbourne at the end of his time at Brisbane. He’s just looking to get a free removal. Tight [censored].

Is this the bloke that was playing every week for the future grand finalists and decided to take a breather / semi retire mid season with Daniel Rich?

funny he didn’t get selected for finals.

what was he thinking?

Strange he'd nominate them without having a conversation first about whether they want / have space for him on their list.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
