Port - We don't want to go to the Gabba _ Tigers - Stuff you were not going from pick six to pick nine.

Port obviously don't want to go there either. Should have put money on this game.

🤔so play the hardest QF so you don’t have to play them again if you lose in the Semi or play the easiest QF and win and don’t have to play the at home at all?

You're not following.

Port running away with this now.

Fourth spot and a match up against Collingwood in week 1 of finals looks all but confirmed.

EDIT: Dusty goal brings the margin back to two goals...

Port didn’t bank on the tigers being so bad and even with all the help they still couldn’t get over them. But there is still time. Wait and see.

ok so win lose or draw we are finishing 4th.

without doing anything silly we need to put in a solid half to emulate QF game style. Syndey are a good turnover scoring team so should be a good opportunity to try a few things defensively to try and stop that.

Port going to the Gabba. Good luck with that.

Doesn’t matter now 4th place it is! Smash the swans then roll the pies at home.🤘😊🤘

Surely the 1,4 and 2,3 games get Friday / Saturday ??

Seven just said Pies on Thurs and Carlton want Fri. They said want.

Does the AFL think anything through before they act?

Carlton fans don’t understand the rules. It’s almost like they haven’t watched any footy for 20 years.

Come on Orange, stop wasting these entries.

Geez Butters and Rozee are going to be an issue for us if we play them in the finals.

We’ve already lost to them this year directly because of those 2. They weren’t just key contributors, they we’re the difference in round 10.

Along with the weather and umpires we only lost by less than a goal. Still they are both good players.

Blues are hot right now

very glad we are not playing them in finals

Terrific response by the Giants.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
