Agree. We will need the extra smarts out the back today, and a little X factor in the goal square.

Chill. We are good. Our defence is elite. They have spent many tickets. We will be OK

So much at stake. Need to win the football game, plain and simple.

Salem has had our second most disposals and every one looked like he was panicking.

People are bagging JJ but he is at least running hard and making position.

Blues have 8 of the top 10 possession getters.

Sparrow has had 4 possessions and turned two over for a massive 28 meters gained, 1 tackle, JJ has 10, 60% eff, 2 tackles 150meters game but JJ is the problem here for some.

If we don’t lift intensity up quite a lot they will steam roll us in the second half.

Right in this game when we absolutely shouldn't be.

Carlton playing as good a footy as they can and we are playing average... yet we're only down by 2 points!

Get some players to lift and we got this.

I don't think we're playing average. They are just all over it. We've taken our chances. They need to put us away.

JJ has been much better than Sparrow who has 4 touches at 50% two turnovers, 1tackle 28 meters gained. I’d sub him before JJ.

Spot on.

ANB could've gone deep to a contest then.  Instead tries to thread the needle through heavy traffic.  The distance was too far, inviting the intercept.

Poor decision there from such an experienced player.  Turnover.... goal.

That’s insulting to call that given what they didn’t call in the first half

Sports entertainment these days.

Lol spun 360 throws ball in the air..... no free.  Pay the one against Clarry though straight in front

I don’t know how many times Hewitt has been caught and just dropped it.

I wonder if anyone has any connections to any big 4 consultancy firms who could readily assist? 🔎🔎🕵️♀️🕵️♀️

Non freekick Melb

FFS they get a goal from a Clarrie “throw” yet they can do a 360 then throw it - play on !!!

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
