Collingwood looking like the better team at the moment. Surely Geelong can take advantage in the forward line without Darcy there

I never understand why some commentators refer to certain players by both names (Christian/surname), as if they have a hyphenated name. e.g. Isaac Smith ... there is only one Smith on the ground. Bobby Hill's another. Taylor Adams. And Hoskin Elliott ... oops, that is a hyphenated surname!!

It's usually players with surname-like Christian names, especially the Bulldogs' Baileys (x3) - Smith/Williams/Dale. A few others ... Touk Miller, Conor Nash, Zac Bailey (what is it about Bailey?), Dyson Heppell.

I think I have too much time on my hands.

And of course there is our ANB referred in the 2021 as Bullen

Dangerfield threw himself back.. or got shot by that sniper again..

He obviously needs to take that straight to the Board.

Jeez the cats are running out of gas big-time.
Collingwood doing well to be a point behind.

Stop taking mushrooms and commentating BT

Well done to Collingwood. This is more like the effort they brought for the past 22 rounds.

You hate to see it.

Could care less who wins this game.

Seen enough. Even if pies win, they are looking all over the shop defensively.

What I want to see is huge contest after huge contest.

Lot's of big hits from the cat's dad's army.

Let's see how they go next Friday night against the lions, who will be looking to smash them in the contest.

And what was that from BT -  they're like mushroom, they're coming alive!!!

The week three people die from toxic mushrooms!

Geelong to miss finals, but at this rate there is no chance.

They are finding their groove at the right time of the season.

Maybe not.

Go Pies.

Ffs BT. “They’re like mushrooms.”

Love ❤️ - that’s what we call a failed simile

220 pressure index for q2 by Pies. That is literally off the charts.

Hard to seem them sustain that throughout the game.

My guess is they got given a serve by Fly after yet another poor quarter and they relied.
They’re lucky they are playing a side that’s as cooked as yesterday’s dinner. They should absolutely run Geelong off the field in the second half.

Limped off. That's about all.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
