I wish there was more footage of it, looked like something out of Tad Lasso.

I haven't seen Ted Lasso but taking a punt for potential good social veneer.

A dog does play a part in Ted Lasso

The fictional Richmond FC has a greyhound as its mascot... no more spoilers... fantastic feel good show

The rude player probably used to read DL and was shocked at all the negativity even during our flag season.

Come on give us a hint. Its your call.

May,Fritsch or Hibberd?

Actually, it’s the complete reverse. The player in question is arguably the player least bagged on DL. Besides that, he couldn’t give a fat rat’s about anything that’s said about him or his teammates. That’s as much of a hint as I’ll give since I know that people who you’d think don’t read DL, actually do. 😉

Laurie's debut was earlier this year.

I'm reminded of one of Jack Dyer's memorable comments (about Melbourne's own Lally Bamblett):

"Bamblett made a great debut last week and an even better one today".

I wonder if it's the same person who played between 1984 and 1986......

Player least begged on DL? Must be Clarry.
EVERYBODY LOVES CLARRY 😂

Does his name rhyme with Lleyton Polyper?

Edit: JNM got in first. Clarry looks like hes a serious competitor on AND off the field. The Michael Jordan of the AFL

The players who most appreciate the banners along with everything else we do (besides Melksy) are BBB, Langers, Harmesy, Ricky Lever and Brodie. These guys are also hands down the friendliest and the ones who engage with us the most.

Choco, Goody and Richo are also super appreciative. ❤️💙

Conversely, there are some players who don’t engage at all and even one who is notoriously rude to DA members. Not gonna name them but it’s like with any group of individuals in life: some are not as pleasant as others.

Thanks for sharing that.

Not surprised in the slightest about BBB and Lever. Both come across as ripper individuals.

😂 No, but love the name. Clarrie’s not rude, he’s just shy.

One of the players least bagged. Clarrie isn’t as friendly as the others but that’s his quiet nature. When you talk to him on-on-one he’s really nice.

On a random note did anyone catch the Jack Viney piece they did before the game last week? It was really good. Shows how far our club has come to the dark days when Jack first started

everyone gets bagged on demonland

so, you must really mean someone who doesn't get bagged-much

The least bagged players on DL are Clarry, Trac, Max and Viney I reckon. Oh and maybe JVR. Hasn’t done enough wrong yet 😂

I know it’s not Max or Trac. They’ve both been nothing but lovely when I’ve met them before. Viney would probably punch you if you annoyed him 😂

I think this is the right change for the week, one forced, one based on form. Spargo will more than likely come back in at some point but needs to find some football at vfl level. Don’t get attached to Tommo, I’d think given past selection Petty comes straight back when fit.

Current iteration of the forward line (bar Spargo) gets another turn to see how it goes, before Gawndy goes into the mix in a few weeks.

Good changes this week.  Spargo whilst has skill, has not had the acceptable output this year.  Petracca whilst playing forward is playing up the ground so Spargo isn't needed for that role.

Chandler is a great replacement, hopefully can recapture the early season form

Good changes this week.

Petty has been injured and in so-so form all year. Might be fitness and constant changing of role. Tomlinson is fit and in better form as a defender. He’s been dominant at Casey too, so good to reward form instead of reputation.

Spargo hasn’t been in great form. Chandler started the year really well but struggled more recently. Hopefully he makes the most of the opportunity this week and hits the scoreboard again.

Daisy...

Only joking 'Walking'

Good changes. Chandler lucky to come back in after not showing too much at Casey but we need his run and pressure.

I reckon if he kicks a goal or two the wheel will turn for him

Crows significantly impacted by their outs. Laird is huge

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.
