On the one hand it would wipe out an embarrassing record held by the club for 44 years on the other hand the percentage boost it will give Brisbane this season over us might be insurmountable. Having said that I don’t think we’ll be able to catch Brisbane now on wins so percentage may be moot and they’re likely to thrash the Eagles by a lot anyway even if they don’t exceed 190 points.

It would be nice for another team to take on this ignominious record of 190+ points in an AFL game. Imagine the Eagles losing by 200 points!

I reckon any loss by over 150+ points will see Adam Simpson sacked.

Eagles supporters won't tolerate another humiliating loss.

Never been one for kicking a team whilst they're down but the 1994 Preliminary Final broke my heart as a kid and the 2018 Prelim Final broke it again as an adult.
Kick away Lions!

On one hand I don’t want Brisbane gaining too much percentage and putting third position on the ladder out of our reach.

On the other hand, this is definitely a death ride I can get behind. The Eagles suck and it would be great for them to go a step beyond 186 as the ****test club in the land.

Are you kidding? We'll be lucky to make the 8 especially now that Oliver is out of action long term.

Lions will almost certainly use this game  to manage a few players either omitted or rested for long spells on the bench.

Lions win by any margin except 30 goals. Eagles would have to stand around like witches hats for that to happen.

All I needed to read on a Friday night. I can still remember being at Waverly for that Fitzroy drubbing. Sweet dreams ladies.

Why stop at 190 points?

Becoming the first team to be beaten by the double ton would put it even further in clear air beyond the 186.

Also having two losses of that magnitude in the same season and a woeful % would surely see them seen as the worst side in an individual season in the past 20 years.  There are a bunch of sides like Carlton and Essendon who have had less sucess than us this century now, so the Eagles being seen as lowly as this would be great.

Dogs play WC in a few weeks at docklands.

thats our best shot imo

the downhill skiers will smash them

The match that could erase us from the history books is about to start.

Would you take it if Joe Daniher kicked 19?

The Eagles thin veneer of effort has cracked. Here's hoping the lions can run the table now and give us a 200-0 result.

6 goals in 12 minutes is solid

45 x 4

= 180

8 goals a quarter- pretty amazing

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.
