I think we had to pay $10,000 to appeal which we get back if/when we win.

Is that reasonable? 😁

I'll be pleasantly surprised if he gets off.

But I don't think he will

I agree. The vibes are off and I don’t think our counter argument was at all strong enough.

Im more worried about the kid in his 5th game getting all this lumped on him, when he was doing nothing more than following a coaches instructions.

Add to that all the boo's he's getting whenever he goes near the ball 😭

The Appeal Board is back and has no questions.

The Appeal Board is NOW deliberating.

It appears the Appeal Board has folded and will come back with a ruling in favor of the AFL.

Assuming this.... they are now tainted with the AFL's "make it up as you go along" brush and as a club we can expect further unreasonable outcomes such as this in future but ONLY when/where it suits the AFL to do so.

A similar occurrence with others (eg; Fogarty) will result in said player not even being sited, cleared even if he is or a minor slap on the wrist depending on the Player/Club in question.

The circus rolls on!

Yeah. There's a "predetermined" feel to all this.

Comes down to fingers crossed for me

Except nowhere in the law does it say that you have a duty of care when going to contest the ball.
Where is that specific law?

When you're banging your head against a brick wall (AFL) good luck.

On a different note, not entirely sure we were thoroughly strong with our case. Felt like Adrian Anderson had a stronger case.

Behind closed doors the appeals board spin the giant wheel of misfortune

Does anyone know if the David King 55% stat on JVR includes that high ball forward on the weekend? You know the one that landed on a Sun in the pock....

Oh, ahhh, never mind.

This is really embarrassing for the game can't have a go at Football "soccer" anymore after this.

This Tweet

Just saw on the news that Brad Green has been sanctioned by the AFL for his twitter comment into this ban! 😂

The club has been asked to explain his criticism of the Tribunal on Twitter

Maybe we're going with an alternative plan. Perhaps the strategy has always been to lose gallantly to get the rest of the team up in arms with an "us and them mentality" which is intended to take them through to the end of September. Mind you, it's not the strategy I'd be going with.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
