How does that Jack Viney get a game? Seriously🙄

Sarcasm!

Bring on 3rd v 4th next week.
Nibbler did plenty of tough work, 11 tackles is a fair effort.

Grundy needs to settle down or he'll take the Brownlow off Clarry !

That performance was a bee's you know what from being a much bigger smashing. Can't complain with the start we've had, and I was particularly happy with McVee, Sparrow, Viney, and Rivers - not to mention Brodie Grundy who is such a luxury to have with Max out.

Trent Rivers has arrived.

27 touches at 78% with 6 tackles.

Good win. Scrappy kind of game in many parts. A shocking display of umpiring (again makes a mockery of our professional game). Everyone contributed. Go Dees.

37 pressure acts too!

I'll definitely take that. West Coast made us play an absolute scrapfest in the first half but in the end our class and fitness got us over the line.

It was great to see Tmac find some form and Trac get back to his goal-kicking best. I'm also loving the look of Mcvee at the moment. You wouldn't have thought it was only his fourth game if you watched him play closely.

Good solid all round performance, nice to see others given more midfield time.

Bring on the Scum next week.

Judd McVie is shaping as my new favourite player. So clean. Salem has significant competition for his spot

Salem should take Bowey’s spot IMO.

Trac really lifted in the second half. 12 possessions, 2 contested, no tackles and 1 clearance in the first half.

29 possessions, 8 contested, 4 tackles, 3 clearances and 3 goals by full time.

Edit: 448 metres gained too thank you very much.

For all the whining about the umpires (not entirely unjustified), we won the free kick count 22 to 16.

Umpiring was terrible both ways.

Grundy slowly hitting vintage AA form. Imagine Pies fans watching that.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
