Daniher played a good game. Brushed the media no wonder they had him in the gun

That was just Matt Lloyd bitter over Daniher leaving the druggies.

Yes i reckon Daisy should be replaced with our on-the-ground spruiker for the half time Demon Dash.

She's so much easier on the ears  🙉

oh you mean  the one with the voice like a chainsaw love that ear piecing sound at full volume 🤫

All things considered, Brisbane have lucked out in both of their home games this year.

Round 2 - Max goes down in the opening minutes giving them the ruck advantage as well as playing against a disorganized Melbourne lineup for most of the night.

Round 4 - No Collingwood rucks at all.

Could easily be 0 and 4.

Can anyone explain to me the whole John Denver song thing at the Gabba.  West Virginia ,,  etc, etc, ?????

Is it a Queensland thing only they would understand???

The players have a song of choice when they kick a goal. For Charlie Cameron it’s Take Me Home…

I think the ‘suits in ‘marketing’ call it fan engagement. Whilst I don’t relate to it, having watched the Dees a few times now at The Gabba, the young kids love it.

Apparently it’s Charlie Cameron’s favourite song, hence they play it after he scores a goal.

The real story here is they were playing the ‘Frozen’ soundtrack after Smokin Joe’s second goal.

Torturous stuff, perhaps it’s cunning psychological warfare. Or maybe the fan engagement team at BLFC are completely cooked.

Would love Clarries to be

I was going to write about Joe Daniher as well but couldn’t quite recall the song title. It’s totally about the youth engagement and good on him for sticking his hand up for the female under 10’s.

Pies were disorganised in the ruck on occasion too last night and gave away a free at the centre bounce, as Frampton came into the middle too late.

I can't work out what can be taken from that game. you'd like to think there is a blueprint against the Pies but they blew a lot of chances. i suspect the slippery, dewy conditions at the Gabba at night have been an adjustment for the Dees and Pies

I can’t think of the exact song title either. As a father of 2 x daughters under 10, believe me, the whole Frozen soundtrack is branded into my psyche!

I get the whole appealing to kids thing.  It just seems so incongruous playing songs like this and bloody John Denver after each goal at a game of footy!

Charlie Cameron used to have Baby Shark.

Wonder if the media will go after their love child Nick Daicos for the dive and/or the massive squibbing of the hard ball?

Many thanks.

Still weird that we need music after a goal. I reckon the power's INXS song is in the same vein.

And we're into Metallica so ......

I'd be suprised.

They should also have a go at his ridiculous hair style. Beyond stupid.

Looks like Lego man hair

Did the Lions come up with the blueprint for how to beat Collingwood? Or was it just a bloopie?

Also a notorious ear worm. Who remembers the other songs played when other Brisbane players kick goals? I would say Charlie Cameron chose well. Uplifts up the local fans and irritates the opposition fans.

More likely for not taking his advice when he was goal kicking coach there..

If I had to choose a post goal celebration tune, I’d go with "Angel of Death" by Slayer. Guaranteed to get the grandstand rocking.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?
