We best chase that big fella Flynn.

Love to have Flynn, yeah want him the most,

Unfortunately though, he has chosen West Coast.

Thought Dow was headed to Saints. Maybe Shiel was main target.

dow apparently toured sydney hq today

if i had a choice of there of the aints, i know which one i'd go to

Sydney have a far deeper midfield than the Saints, so it is strange for a player who has not been able to get a regular game and is probably leaving for more opportunities. I could say the same for JJ.

Maybe the contract is fatter.

Part trade rumour/ part trade anxiety: I worry about Petty’s name coming up during the period.

Some murmurings of Adel throwing his name in the mix for McAdam trade (which we all scoffed at) but if you think about it, as a rare, flexible tall who is on the up, I’m pretty sure his market value would be much much higher than his current pay packet…

Also you’d expect our plan is to groom him a forward to suit our needs… who’s to say that doesn’t suit him?

They can throw the name in all day long - wouldn’t be doing their job if they didn’t, he’s going NOWHERE!

I’m presuming the rumour you heard that had you grinning wasn’t in regards to a key forward then, Nudge?

That’s the thing, I literally can’t say m, other than fact I was assured we had a clear strategy & that it was still on, I personally took it to mean we knew the player we wanted to draft & that he was exactly what we need or that we’d get another high pick but not #4 as I was told we were cooked on that front even before then!

With May getting into his 30s and Petty being pushed forward, I agree we need a new KPP back.

What about this bloke we currently have Jed Adams?

https://www.melbournefc.com.au/players/7416/jed-adams

Has been a bit of discussion on here regarding the development of Jefferson, but realitively little on Adams.  Normally KPP backs can step up and play seniors earlier than forwards, due to them being lead to the ball and only needing to be the spoiler, not the play maker / need for them to take big contested marks.

Do any of the Casey watchers have much of a read on Adams?  He looked great in his draft highlights videos, but all reports seem to have flatlined since then.

Agree R(B)G Adams, he represented us in the GF sprint final on Saturday, tall 196cm, lean and has some pace about him. Really hope he puts in the hard yards pre-season and gets a run in 2024.!!

Sydney have some talented midfielders but have struggled with contest & clearance since Kennedy went out of their centre square rotation. Parker can’t do it all by himself (and he’s getting on), Dow would make a lot of sense. He’s a fairly one dimensional midfielder, but just happens to be strong in the area Sydney’s midfield is lacking.

JJ has probably been told he’ll get a good crack at CBA’s as well.

Mentioned briefly on another thread but there are some murmurs of ‘early concerns’ about his application

What Dee Spencer said. He played his role and didn't really seek to do anything else. He was solid without imposing himself on the game. He has an unusual kicking style but has no problem hitting targets. I wouldn't say there is any application problem. He doesn't seem to make many mistakes. IMO He's just finding his feet off the back of no preseason and doesn't yet back himself to take the game on yet. We might see a more confident and assertive player next year.

Well hopefully we are a chance.

At least with us he would be 2nd in line, but would certainly get games.

At Giants he is 3rd in line and with WC I am unsure of their rucks without Nic Nat, but know they have Williams, who is more of a fill in. If he is a WA, then I would imagine WC would have appeal.

Bit old now. His best, playing for CCR, was some time ago now - though he was good in centrefield.

So, don't put him in coach, he's not ready to play.

Yeah he’s only just turned 16

In order to be eligible for the NAB AFL Draft, players must have attained, or will attain the age of 18 years, on or before December 31, in the year of draft.

Kalani turned 16 on 5th May so he'll turn 18 in his draft year in 2 years (2025) and he'll go F/S and be a great addition to the Dees.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
