Playing interstate in the final H&A round.

Good shout.

We’ve played at MCG or Marvel in the final round just twice between 2016-2023. The rest have either been interstate or in Geelong.

Playing West Coast in Perth.

Every. Single. Year

yeah, good call.

And how many times have Haw and Coll played eagles in Perth and Geelong at Karak Castle. And how many times in the same year.

We usually play the crows in Adelaide as well although AFL couldnt fit it in this season.Did however kick us down to Tassie again.

I dont mind playing 7 or 8 interstate our win record is the best in the comp.  AFL treats some clubs better than others. Hawthorn should of gone to the Cattery this year not us FFS

Eagles obviously lobbied  AFL to switch their cattery game to Adelaide.

Why dont we try that??

Tommy Mac will kick a goal and Luke Darcy will mention that he was out the door at Melbourne and stayed as no one else wanted him

Commentators referring to Kozzies out-of-contract status at least once every round until he re-signs.

according to journos he's already "out-of-contract" despite the fact his contract has a full season to go

go figure

This terminology of language around football contracts has been used since the 90's. Most journo's I've read have always said he's out of contract at the end of the year so technically they are correct.

What about the Great Geelong Flood of 2023, where the New ground got flooded out and destroyed

I can run with that, only as long as the flood was caused by a burst sewerage line.

except that's not true. most journos are lazy and just say "out of contract kickett"

it's not that hard to get it correct

Dangerfield going for Olympic gold in the high dive. He attempted a reverse triple somersault with a forward pike after the merest suggestion of contact, but only managed a belly wacker.  The umpires were suitably impressed and awarded him a free kick.

Oh, it’s real. Last year I went there and we were ushered to a parking spot whereat the attendant asked if we were Geelong members (despite being head to toe red n blue with flags n banners in the back seat). We said no and he said that’ll be $15. Curious, I asked him why he needed to know if we were Geelong members to which he replied, “it’s only $10 for Geelong members.” Walking towards the entrance I asked a few Geelong fans what they’d paid and they all said $10.

Did you give him the extra five in cash?

No, it was all on card. And it wasn’t just us, others in the cheer squad were charged $15 as well. And it wasn’t just one guy doing the job so it must be a thing.

Another future star will leave us for big bucks stating homesickness the reason.

I'll shorten it up to make it flow better, life, death, taxes and free agency.

Also shouldn't the title be 4 certainties in life!?

No problem. Never been down to the cattery and never will.

Can't understand why supporters punish themselves going down there. Slim chance at best of winning.

I would love to go down there in guise of cat fan, sit in kitty ltter cheer squad. Then disrobe to reveal Dees colors with no 13 on my back and bag the sheeeit out of moggie land and give them the Best Picket Fence SLEDGEFEST EVER!!!!!🤩

when this comes up it always reminds me of my dads mate at work at Aer Lingus.

One time he said - “sure it’s as certain as death in Texas”

needless to say he never lived that one down 😂
