What makes it extra delicious is that Bell is at Dodoro levels of being difficult to trade with and must always be perceived to have won whatever trade he is doing.

dodo isn't as bad as it's made out in the media

peptides get deals done without bell-end-aching to the media about it

I love the visual near the end of Show me the Money 2 with our team casually strolling out, all deals done while player managers are running past them in a frenzy trying to finalise last minute deals.

I honestly can't wait to play them at the G in a few weeks time.

Double motivation to destroy them. I want to win by 10+ goals, and I want Grundy to dominate Jackson and I then want to see Jackson line up on Steven May at FF. LOL.

Wouldn't mind JVR kicking 5 on their Captain too 👍

Can't wait to play this mob either. This and the gameday thread will be out of control!

Will get better when they get a few players back. They have nothing to tank for anyway because their first round pick goes to GWS anyway.

If we lose Demonland will go into full blown meltdown.

Not sure about that.

I might ride their 'death train' along with GWS supporters who hold the Tigers first pick; a pick we may want to trade up for.

Looking t the ladder, we need a couple of teams to really ream Freo and kill their percentage. Need to force it down into the 60's, that way equal points means they'll drop lower.

It's Saturday night game v th hawks, you think Mitchell will want to perform in the game for optics.

So ideal scenario is WC last, Richmond 17th and Freo 16th?

However hard to see both NM and Hawthorn above Richmond and Freo.

Ah look I'm happy with any combo, as long as those teams are down there and stay down there!

Yep, I think we can take a week off the death ride and wish Freo all the best. I hope Jackson has a Weideman-level day out.

Hawthorn are tanking so hard they are attracting Ukrainian farmers.

Yes it tells me that Pearce has terrible taste in headwear.

Hawks have a surprise win or two in them. Lost to GWS and Crows by 2&3 points. Should have been well ahead of dogs by half time but faded after that.
If Freo make as many simple skill errors as they did against Brisbane and Hawks kick a bit better they are a sneaky chance.

After watching a lot of games this weekend it’s hard to see anything other than WC, Hawks and North being the bottom 3 clubs. So I think our pick will be somewhere between 4-7.
I expect Richmond to improve and move up the ladder a bit when they get a few of their key players back, so the Suns and GWS picking up wins this weekend is great for our chances of being closer to 4 than 7.
If Freo do finish in the bottom 6 we will enter this years trade and draft period in a much stronger position than the 2019 draft when we picked up Jackson, Kossie and Rivers and will hopefully have just win the flag.

He's extraordinarily difficult to deal with and always keeps other clubs waiting till the last minute. He is the road block on trade week mostly.

And Ess have nothing to show for it in over 20 years.

Agree.

I would argue they are almost in better form than freo - at least they are not experimenting with their method 7 rounds into the season

What if we ignore the draft entirely and package up our 2 first round picks in a trade for Ben King?

Dunno Flash, I'd love to have him but not sure how many Texas-sized checks we have left in the kitty!

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
