Fritsch was of course drafted the following year which leaves only Hunt and Petty from that team. (Hunt at that time was an established player who had lost form as a running backman.)

It's certainly not a nursery for future talent

Fritsch was drafted in 2017 played in 2018 and was dropped from the senior team that played in the 2018 Preliminary Final for Joel Smith. He was allowed to Play in the Casey game because the MFC was still in the finals.

Only Munro and White are playing in the game on Sunday.

add Grey to the both games list.

No, Grey wasn't playing for Casey in 2018. He was still at st Bede's. I am told by his schoolmate that he won 5 straight GFs at st Bede's plus 6 straight at Beaumaris. Tomorrow will be 12 in 7 completed seasons plus a Herald Sun shield if Casey wins.

If we had won last week Bowey could have played in the Grand Final. That's if he had not been picked to play Geelong.

Is that how it works? Or would he have just reached a required threshold # of games? Seems very confusing

Ok must have been another grey in 2018. Still not many players from only four years ago. Guess if youre any good a team has picked you up and if not you have been moved on.

I used to watch Norword also in the old days when we were ordinary. Didn't Ros Dillon and Greg Parke play there at some stage.

I believe so Doc, Ross Dillon was a handy cricketer also.

Just around the corner for this aging innercity hipster! I'll be there!

Go Dees!

And I’ll wend my way up the freeway from the leafy inner east. Hope they accept cash for tickets at the gate. Back to the 70s and 80’s. Go Casey.

Looking forward to it. You know your teenagers are ‘institutionalised’ when they ask you to take them to watch Casey.

I’m taking my youngest - it will be the closest thing you will get to a time capsule as to how footy used to be prior to the obsessive political correct corporate product served up today. Wasn’t joking about the cash option! Desperately hoping there is no “game day experience” and that the game itself is the experience. Should be great fun.

Was changed after the Brownlow was moved because some Pommy chick died.

So will I - come all the way from Tamworth so have to have a fix of 'Demons' somehow - would have gone to the Women's game today too if the GF was played yesterday.

Remember to bob down at the ticket window to buy your "junior" ticket. Worked for me till I was 22!

I go to  VFL games on a regular basis, one of the big reasons is the game day experience is the game. Yes more like attending the game of my youth. Enjoy.
