DubDee 26,674 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Bombers will 100% go for an experienced coach in Scott. 1 Quote
layzie 34,528 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Make it a done deal Bombers. Yze and Chocco stay, we can all go home and be happy. 7 Quote
The Lobster Effect 900 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Scott's ego is obviously stronger than his interest in staying in a cushy AFL job. Pretty risky taking a coaching gig at the Bombers. 1 Quote

Other than having the massive burn to coach again it seems like a big deal to give up a great job for a life of stress and burning the midnight oil again. Quote
tiers 2,883 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 If after all this time the bumbers start chasing Scott, then Adem should tell them to get lost, I want to stay with a professional club and coaching team.. 1 Quote

hemingway 7,633 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Feel sorry for Adem if he misses out. Can’t help but think that he would be a better long term option than Scott. The young Bombers would do well with a guy like Ooze with his calm head and development skills. But early success is the key to keeping the knives at bay. That will be a problem at Bomber land. Any club with Sheedy seeking to influence decisions is not healthy. 2 Quote
whatwhat say what 23,857 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 if - and let's face it, when - he misses on peptides, how many times will he have been 'next best' coaching option? is it only the peptides and gw$ that he's been in the running to win? or did he have interviews elsewhere last year, or even the year before? i'd rather take north or the bears than the peptides gig Quote

Older demon 2,820 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 I hope Adem stays and is the logical heir to take over from Goodwin. 2 Quote
Sir Why You Little 37,457 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 (edited) If Essendrug fail to improve and the “Essendonians” pull rank and have him sacked, Brad Scott will go back to what he is doing now. Essendrug need to give hime 3 years, but i bet they don’t They still see themselves as a power club It’s a dangerous job, but i can see why Brad Scott would take it on rather than other experienced coaches Edited September 28, 2022 by Sir Why You Little Quote

layzie 34,528 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 I would strongly suggest these Essendon cronies stay out of Scott's way. He's not pleasant when he's angry. Quote
Matt Demon 1,597 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 I think it's healthy to change thing's up with assistant coaches, I wouldn't mind seeing Ooze as the forward coach and a new face bought in as the midfield coach. 1 Quote

You saw how Richmond supporters come out've the woodwork when they got on a roll. Essendon would have more, they were dominant throughout the late eighties and again in the late 90s'-2000' while Richmond were struggling. They fill the 'G' on ANZAC day regardless of how the club's going. I'd only put them behind Collingwood for total support, They not part of the big 4 for nothin'. Queanbeyan Demon 7,023 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Scott's record at Norf is superb by any standards. Very easy to see him turning this ratbag joint around. Would much have preferred them to appoint Herd. Quote
DEE fence 5,054 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Sheedy (Sith Lord) and Scott (petulant North Korean dictator) will clash so spectacularly, love it! Adem has time on his side, and being measured in his approach does him the world of good in a hot house media environment. Clubs want this approach, his time will come. 2 Quote

You are correct to point out that there could be 2 coaching vacancies available sooner. Everyone should remember Yze came in as insurance after Goody had a really bad 2021 as Michael Warner keeps writing stories about Quote
raikkonen_64 39 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Just when you think Essendon couldn’t [censored] things up more. They literally wine and dine with Yze. Mark Williams rumoured to go with him. (Wherever he goes the ultimate success follows). Yze was at the under 18s with their list manager Adrian Dodoro, maybe we are gonna blow ourselves up and we’re pouching Dodoro lol Quote
