That’s an absolute steal. Acres will likely play round 1.  Had a very good year with Freo. Future 3rd!!!! Pick 50ish in 2023. Wtf. Carlton are the obvious winner.

Looks like a pure money deal

Freo reportedly offered 180k per year.. Carlton offering $350k

I think a statement needs to be made here and an example set.  Send him into the draft and he takes his chances.  No deal!!

We would then get nothing in return.  SFA.  Zilch.

The statement we'd be making is "We're so dumb we're prepared to cut off our nose to spite our face".

Yes but he potentially doesn't get to Freo... that's the point.  Forces their hand.

Not when you consider his contract is for about $350K

Freo are getting fleeced!! Logue walks into the Kangas and they give up very little and it’s delayed until 2023.

F2nd and F3rd is all NM have.

Bad outcome for us. Leaves us no closer to getting a top 10 pick for Jackson. Anything outside top 10 is a failure for us. Sucks for us Freo are a sh*t club!

A [censored] club that has pick 13, what do you call the clubs with the top 10 picks?

You're saying we should tell Freo that we will send him to the draft?   It would be an empty threat.

As if they'd buy a scenario where neither of the the clubs nor the player get what they want.

We'll cut a deal with Freo (or West Coast, I don't care) and get the best result we can.

Absolute turnover merchant, who finds himself at his third club.

The bundling of 13 with North's F2nd  ( say approx 21 ) will go a long way to getting us the first pick we want.

Then Freo's F1st plus the Lobb pick and or the Acres pick, will do the same for the second pick we want.

Or just give us all of those picks, plus the North F3rd and we will do the deals.

We could easily end up with 2 picks inside 10.

Then ask them to throw in Treacy and they have LJ.

So we would get initially 13, North F2nd and F3rd, Freo F1st, Lobb pick and Acres pick F50 something.

See how easy it is.

TPP?

They used AFL assistance picks.  Not ok?

Yeah, I meant more that they still have to pay wages that take up total player payments, so they're not really free.

AFL 3rd rd compo #52-53 for Hunt as a UFA

—————————

* GWS likely to offer #43 (GWS 3rd rd) for Bedford .

BUT Dees should push for GWS 21 for Bedford and MFC pick 32.
* Dees likely to then offer magpies the #21 for Grundy

—————————

* FREO likely to offer acquired pick 8 (from Port to Kangas as part of JHF trade ; Kangas then use in deal to get Logue) PLUS  Freo 2023 future 1st rd for Jackson

^^either use pick 8 to get McKenzie, Phillipou or Hollands OR offer GWS the package of pick 8 and Freo future 1st to get pick 3 (GWS) to get either Cadman or Tsatas.

I like your work. Pick 8 + Freo future 1st for GWS pick will depend on who GWS have their eye on. They are also in need of a KPF which makes me think they’ll potentially not trade to give us first dibs.

I haven't listened to one word of trade radio.

It's my own silly idea, that might not be that silly, as it can be easily done by the Dockers, if they want to finish this trade right now.

Would you do that deal if you were Tim Lamb?  I would.

Can future picks be used for their points value.

The Dockers currently have every pick in my scenario except the Lobb pick.

If they clear Lobb to the Dogs and give us that pick, with the others they already have, it would be an easy deal.

They have apparently already offered us 13 and F1st and we have refused.

In other words, they throw in North F2nd and North F3rd and maybe Acres F50 something and clear Lobb and give us the pick.

If they were serious about Jacko and are worried about WCE, then do it now and it's done, all over, finished.

Given the amount of players they are losing   Freo will have to keep some picks to fill spots on their list.

They will get picks for retired and delisted players. I think you only need to add 3 players and they are trading in players too.

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
