I might cop it a bit here but an article today suggested Hunter Clark may be open to a move. Been injury prone but if we back our staff to get him fit he could slot well into the back half for life post Hibberd.

I like Clark, but he’s not a lockdown defender type like Hibbo. He’s played his best football as a rebounding defender or a midfielder. He’s got decent skills and decision making and isn’t bad working through traffic either. If we could get him cheap I’d be all for it as he brings a point of difference to our one paced mids and flankers.

Hunter is most certainly one paced

Just on Richmond, they're going to give up multiple first rounders for two solid B+ graders. I guess there's not a lot else on the market, but those two wouldn't scare me.

Taranto is A grade if he gets his body right. Bringing Taranto and Hopper in completely rejuvenated their midfield and keeps them competitive for a few more years. No idea how they got them both to nominate them. Hats off to the Tigers on the coup.

Let’s just hope we can get a quality tall forward in!

Richmond know that while they have Lynch they need to have a midfield to get enough ball there. Bolton is just the cherry on top that can steal you a close one.

which is exacty why we need to find a key position fwd..with time on his side.  McKay? Naughton? Hipwood? King? or similar?

or do we move Tomlinson Fwd, or keep Tommo back and switch Petts fwd?

How Richmond can afford  both Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper is beyond me?!

I am still keen on the idea of the Demons making a last minute pitch to Tim Taranto. Especially if we do end up losing Luke Jackson.

Apparently Tim Taranto used to barrack for the Melbourne Demons as a kid growing up and as much as we probably need another tall forward it would be a massive coup to bolster our midfield even more with someone of his calbre.

Anyway, we will see whether or not Luke Jackson stays with the Melbourne Demons or goes to either Fremantle or West Coast.

Edwards, Lambert and Caddy have retired. Cotchin and Riewoldt have re-signed for 1 year on probably a lot less than what they were earning. They also had a swag of early draft picks last years after losing Chol and CCJ, so they would be on relatively low contracts.

I can't see who else on their list other than Martin and Lynch, who would be on big dollars.

No way Taranto is A grade, the bloke has good attributes but he is incredibly overrated

What about Jackson Callow?

The big Tasmanian forward who played for Norwood in the SANFL and then got picked up by Hawthorn in the mid-season draft?

Apparently he got surprisingly delisted by the Hawks.

I think he is worth looking at as a delisted free agent.

Here is a video of some highlights of him when he was playing at Norwood.

Prestia, Grimes, Bolton, Balta, Graham, Rioli, Vlastuin and Nankervis for starters.

You are kidding? What's your definition of big money? I'm talking about someone earning over $800K. Prestia maybe, and the rest not even close.

Definitely one to put on the “To be considered” list. At 20, he has a lot of time for development ahead.

They are perfect pick ups for Richmond. Certainly worth what they will give up.

Taranto would be A grade if he cleaned up his disposal.

Great pick up as a free agent by the tigers though. Just what they needed.

Absolutely!

Jackson Callow was a Melbourne supporter growing up as a kid.

About 194-195cms tall.

He has a vice-like grip when taking marks

Would definitely be worthwhile giving a chance to.

Hopefully Jason Taylor is having a re-look at the Tasmanian under-18s football footage.

Would definitely be a better prospect than Mitch Brown and is only 20 years of age.

Found some more video footage of Jackson Callow playing for Tasmania here:

not a free agent; they'll have to trade to bring in both of the wantaway gw$ mids

i expect prestia is on big coin or perhaps he's rolled off his initial contract, or it may have been front-loaded

in terms of players who're coming up as ooc and likely to command hefty coin, i would think only shai bolton really fits that bill / banks that cheque

their midfield is transformed overnight if they bring taranto and hopper in - personally, i rate both very highly and can completely understand why they have chased them and won their desire to move there

tigers are a smart club and their off field dept seems fairly adroit when it comes to managing players and salaries

I knew a recruiter from another AFL club who described Schache as the least competitive man of his size ever on an AFL list.

On another note, I see Hunter Clarke is a possibility to move clubs

More than Jenkins?

Oh really? Oops my bad. I was wondering why multiple firsts rounders was mentioned.

Still a good outcome for Richmond. They need a talent injection in the middle to bring them back in contention next year.

Hopper had a bad year with injuries this year but will bounce back.

GWS having multiple first rounders might help our recruitment team this year with bringing our first rounder forward again

I know a lot have followed this guy and he does have a number of good attributes.

But given the hawks picked him up and let him go in a short space of time is a concern for me.  THey've got some decent young promising talls already but you don't let them go if they're a potential gun

Good call, maybe Speed?

Just looked at IMDB expecting to find some well rated films post speed that I hadn't known about. There were none.

Speed is the winner.

They need an instant rebuild of their midfield. Prestia is too injury prone and Cochin is done.

They had to take the punt. Four of the five best midfielders this year were all draftees (Oliver, Miller, Cripps and Petracca). Neale was the exception.

I think it is solid business. A motivated Tarranto could really be something.
