My sports bar in Hua Hin is proving a bust!

Is that watch afl app any good ? $20 for a week sub. Don't mind the fee but is it any good?

I was gonna PT it there but am now in the city, gonna catch a ride with a friend, meeting her at Parliament station. I’m with another friend whom I just ran into (Geelong supporter) and neither of us has been up the posh end of the city in decades. So we’re like MaryLou and Billy Bob Joe visiting the big smoke for the day. He’s had several ppl call out “go cats!” and “carna catters!!” etc. All’s I’ve got is a very distinguished elderly gentleman stepping out of the Yves St Laurent shop as we passed, and he says, “well, as long as it’s not a resounding defeat, I believe a loss this evening wouldn’t be the end of the world.” 😂

watchafl app worked well for me when I was OS - obviously better if you can screen mirror onto a decent TV rather than ipad or phone

Oh no

the watch afl app is ok. Resolution is 720p. You'll have to watch on phone or computer unless you can stream to your hotel TV.

Remember to cancel your sub post game as I think it auto renews

Good luck

PS I know how you feel. My kayo sub used to work beautifully here in Asia but alas no more

Do you use a VPN DJ ?

Yeah Loges, 2 nearby but this is the biggest.

A pre game summary was shown a few minutes ago, so maybe mamasan is correct and it will be on.

The internet is good there so, if needs be, I'll watch it on Mac

WatchAfl is good BBO, but don't wait until the last minute to do it, sometimes it takes awhile to get it to work.

Come on Dees,   cream this top 2 pretender,

then look forward to doing the same to the others thinking top 4 aspirants,    Port Ad, Freo, Carlton,  brisbane again, pies and dogs

easy beats        perhaps  what an easy run home, we should be primed.

Go Dees

I really think we are auditioning the team for the big dance or even just the preludes,  Cannot think there will be many other changes come September

We usually save our best for other contenders.  Here's hoping that continues tonight.

There was a Deebrief podcast today with Stafford, he said the players love getting up for the "prize fights".

Been buzzing for the past two days waiting for this one, lets [censored] go!

Think cats will always be the most satisfying team to beat, they are arrogant but it’s earned

Stanley? Was rumoured earlier in the week.

Not sure. They acted surprised when they reported.

Not sure which bar you are at BBO, but I can almost guarantee El Murphys will be showing the game. Good grub too.

Don't really understand the reason behind geo blocking. If you've paid the subscription you should be able to watch from anywhere.

Doesnt work with a VPN either?

I was planning to try next time im O/S

P.S. we should take out this gaggle of geriatrics tonight. Dees by a goal or 2

I’ll be watching from tiny Saint Pompon in the Dordogne (France). It will be my last game while I’m in France. We fly out from Paris on Monday.

We won the prelim by 83 points. Assuming cats don’t have the flu/gastro tonight, I will say they will show 2-3 goals improvement :-  So Dees by 65 points

It's not kayo who insist upon it but rather it's the content owners who want to sell the same content in other markets.

Mind you in the case of AFL the overseas revenue would be miniscule.

For what it offers the WatchAFL service is very expensive

If you're based overseas and want WatchAFL a great option is an international digital membership from the club. About $180 I think. Includes WatchAFL and supports the club. Win/Win.

Been using it for years. Works a treat.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
