monoccular 17,757 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 What position is Turner playing (as much as anyone play a position)? Maybe should say rôle. Whose rôle does he “play like”? Quote
KC from Casey 7,211 Posted May 15, 2022 Author Posted May 15, 2022 Still Woewodin kicking goals. Casey by 97 points. 1 Quote
KC from Casey 7,211 Posted May 15, 2022 Author Posted May 15, 2022 Bedford snaps after a long run by Baker (4 bounces) puts Casey up by 103 points. 1 1 Quote

Straight Sets Simon 23,113 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Grim for North, it’s one thing to have your seniors struggling but when your VFL team is also bad it doesn’t bode well for the future. 1 Quote
KC from Casey 7,211 Posted May 15, 2022 Author Posted May 15, 2022 Quick reply to North and the lead is under the ton but Laurie fixes that up with his third. JVR involved. 2 2 Quote
KC from Casey 7,211 Posted May 15, 2022 Author Posted May 15, 2022 Laurie then adds his fourth. 1 Quote
adonski 13,235 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Woewodin looks classy Weid, even with his 6 goals, still can't clunk his marks consistently enough even at this level 2 1 1 Quote
KC from Casey 7,211 Posted May 15, 2022 Author Posted May 15, 2022 And that’s 6 for JVR - the lead is 116 points. 1 Quote
deejammin' 2,418 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Woewodin is learning to play the wing beautifully, I assume we’ve been putting him with Ed at training. JVR is a super talent. 1 Quote
PaulRB 6,435 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 6 to Weid and JVR will encourage our forwards to put the sword to the Weagles, and bodes well… 3 Quote
mauriesy 7,443 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 (edited) Looks like they invoked the mercy rule on the VFL live broadcast at 116 points up. Edited May 15, 2022 by mauriesy 1 Quote
The heart beats true 18,201 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 JVR must be raging on a day like this. You kick 6 goals but if you take them off the teams tally we still win by 80 points. Takes the shine off it a little. 1 Quote

dazzledavey36 56,269 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 22 disposals, 6 marks and 6.2 for Jacob Van Rooyen. Get this kid in! What a bloody impressive performance. 5 Quote
mo64 5,910 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 The commentator made a really good observation of JVR. He engages in the contest early and has the strength to hold his ground. He's also capable at ground level. He's going to be a star, and IMO he'd have a greater impact at AFL level this year than Weid. Should BBB get injured, or Tmac loses form, JVR should be next in line. 1 Quote

And to think that we can thank the AFL for changing the rules so that clubs couldn’t match the bids for NGA players in the top 20 of the AFL draft because we might have taken Mac Andrew instead of Jacob Van Rooyen! 4 2 3 Quote
